I've heard about it from a friend at school even though I don't watch the show.

I heard about that part too. Definitely brutal.

Yup,who's your favorite Game of Thrones character?
WinterRose wrote: "Did you guys see the latest Game of Thrones episode? Like omg. I'm not sure I can recover from what I just watched."I haven´t seen it, but from the pics I've seen around I know where in the story things are... and the best is yet to come! ;)
Do I need to pre-order the Barnes & Noble version of
to get the Darkling prequel story? Or does every B&N version just come with that story regardless of pre-ordering or not? I hope this question makes sense!
Less than two weeks to go WOOHOO! :-)
I think that, if you get it at B&N, as long as it says so in the description, it should have the prequel. What I mean is, I'm not sure if they will only sell R&R with the prequel, or both with and without.
I don't think it is only for people who pre-order, but rather it is a deal B&N got to feature a version with a special bonus.
Does anybody know if this is right?
Yes the Darkling prequel comes only with the B&N edition. But probably someone will post it online .... right? *sad puppy face*

Ok awesome! Thanks so much. Leigh said were not supposed to read the prequel until after we read the book so that's interesting.
Is anyone else kind of sad about the book coming out, this means its all over :(
On a completely unrelated note, I just watched the vampire movie "Byzantium" and LOVED IT!!! I was hoping it was based on a book but I can't find anything... :((The movie itself is ok but the story is great. I want to know more. I want to read it!!)
Also, I did watch that GoT episode. I looked away while Oberyn's skull was crashed. Thank you very much. Someone needs to stop the Mountain. I cried a little when Dany sent Ser Jorah away. Can't one screw up, even big time, and then redeem oneself? Can't people make mistakes, pay for them and move on? Nobody's perfect.
I stand by most of Dany's decisions, but I think this was not a good one. She lost a valuable counselor. He'll love her forever though.
@Elena- I'm sure someone will :3@Georjandavis- I'm sad it's over. I feel like I've spent way too much time in Ravka. I truly love this series and I'm not sure I'm ready to let them go.
That said, the survivalist in me is setting her eyes on "The Dregs" already :)
Also, Georjandavis, I asked and the B&N special edition with Darkling Prequel will also be available in stores.
Do we know any more info about the Dregs besides its a group of criminals in Kerch, one is named Kaz?
@Melanie- Not much that I know of. Only what she posted on tumblr-I’m hesitant to talk about The Dregs because I haven’t even sent the first draft off to my editor yet (it’s due June 13th, everyone send me good thoughts and caffeine) so EVERYTHING COULD CHANGE. But… currently, there are five main POVs, each in third person assigned (or close third). The main character is a boy named Kaz Brekker—con artist, killer, gangleader, thief. He’s horrible.
If he's the protagonist, I suspect he's not that horrible. ;p
Hahaha thanks! He can't be too bad! It sounds really different format from the Grisha trilogy, with different POVs and third person...
I'm excited!
I'm super excited. I hope it is as layered as the Grisha Trilogy. I want to discover new places... and I'm also hoping for little cameo appearances along the trilogy. Perhaps that will not happen but one can always hope, right? :)
That would be awesome! Cassandra Clare is (in my opinion) the master at character cross-overs between series so I hope Leigh might do something similar ! Or even a teeny tiny reference.
Melanie wrote: "Do we know any more info about the Dregs besides its a group of criminals in Kerch, one is named Kaz?"Kaz is a guy and the book is told from different POV.That's all I could find out.
Cari wrote: "I'm super excited. I hope it is as layered as the Grisha Trilogy. I want to discover new places... and I'm also hoping for little cameo appearances along the trilogy. So brutal. Frustrating too because Oberyn could have won. :( Poor Ellaria.
I felt for Jorah too, though it's hard to blame her. It's hard to trust anyone in that world. :/ I believe she handles it different in the book, sending him on a mission in which he can redeem himself. Maybe that's how it will go next episode..someone will catch up to him.
Jorah does run into (view spoiler) eventually though so that will be good. :)
I remember. Can't wait for that meetup :)Oberyn's one of my favs because he's determined but is openly/dangerously acts on reckless freewill. I knew the Mountain wouldn't go down easily and was sad cuz Maisie said that the good guys were coming back. So I thought Oberyn lived. Nope. Too bad, House Martell has an interesting story.
The whole eye-gauging and skull-crushing scene was pretty gory for a later GoT episode but I like how it's apart of R.R. Martin's universe. It could just be because I can stomach those kind of things in gory films. It seemed like a display of horror can happen in Westeros.
I've been wondering how Jorah was going to turnout because his banishment and mission was supposed to be in season 3 when Daenerys' team took Yunkai; it was supposed to be different in the books cuz it was a suicide mission. I feel bad for both sides. For Jorah, he's tried hard to make up personally for his deception and has fought for Daenerys' cause knowing that she may not return his feelings. For Dany, Jorah was like her last family, acted as her rock and guidance. Learning that he worked with Robert Baratheon, the man that took her birthright and family from her, since the day they met must've been devastating. (Especially cuz she's a mother and found out Jorah's why her baby was in danger) The real problem was that Jorah hid this from her for so long.
Okie so I didn't know where to put this, so I'll ask it here
For school, we're doing reports and companion novel powerpoints and a heck of a lot of work with a book (that we get to choose). I'm torn between using Shadow and Bone or Six of Crows. Someone help please!

My opinion is to go with Six of Crows because for one, you have the multiple perspectives and two, because none of the characters are black and white but very gray. The characters are not necessarily good or bad and throughout the book they have to make a lot of tough moral choices and they don't make those decisions based on what is considered right or wrong. I hope that makes sense and helps somewhat.
Thank you! Your advice helps a lot :-)
