I think this could only qualify for the police badge due to officer Karrin Murphy.

Yea book! We ended up using the police badge for Margret's book... is there another square you'd like to put this one towards?

I can't think of anything else that this could work for on the board, so into the bank I suppose!

Got it! Time for a board update :)

Current pattern: Airplane (add an additional power square to your board)
Bold goals are unclaimed goals.
Non-pattern squares are to be filled with finished books, first come first serve :)
Book with over 50k reviews - Brianna

Dark Places is excellent! I am about 70% done. I would have finished it yesterday but life got in the way LOL but will definitely get it done later today. 8-)

Shhh, you'll wake it up! ;)

hahah .. i know one part of my brain is biting its nail nervously and the other half flicked the first half saying," quit jinxing it!"

Slave to Sensation, Nalini Singh
356 pgs
It will work for the ink blot...I see a 'mask'. The main character wore a mask of coldness when she truly was filled with emotion/sensation. You can bank it if some already filled the spot.

I'll take at least a day more, so we can bank mine so the pattern is done faster.

This works out nicely - I'll use yours for the board, Tammie, and Pragya's book can be shark insurance or go towards the other inkblot square. :)

Believe it or not, this already has 28k reviews! O.o

If you can connect it to Hawaiian Bobtail Squids or the letter N in any way let us know! ;)

Thanks for reminding me - I answered this one in my head lol. The task must link with the book, not the reader, I'm afraid. :/

Grah, I hate that! May I offer some unsolicited advice? ;)
- Check in with yourself. Do you just not feel like reading right now? If so, that's okay! Take a few days off and then see what grabs you. You're very far ahead book-wise on the spreadsheet, so a little break is fine :)
- How about changing things up? If you normally read paper go for an audiobook, if you're mired in urban fantasy go for a gritty mystery, try some non-fiction after so many novels, etc.
- Conversely, you can lean into your likes. Read the next book of a series you love but never finished. Reread a book you've been meaning to get back to. And so on.
This may be no help at all, but here's hoping you clear this slump soon! ~huuuuug~

~collapses on bed~

P.s i also wanted to make sure that everyone wasnt waiting just for me :D

Dark Places by Gillian Flynn
349 pages
For N3 "genre is suspense"
Definitely fits the category. Excellent book. Really good author. Even when I had a pretty good idea of what was happening, it still had plenty of surprises.
Hmmm what to read next........... 8-)

Bingo rules say three weeks... I'll ask for a clarification.
eta: I'll get the books in and answer other questions tomorrow - I've learned that I shouldn't be spreadsheeting after bedtime the hard way ;)

Okay, I just was reading the original post about WOBBLE
About this Challenge
◈ Bingo is the fourth of six challenges within our W.O.B.B.L.E Event
◈ Bingo will last 2 weeks and feature at least 2 cards
◈ Bingo cards will consist of 1: finding IMAGES on cover & 2: finding WORDS in title
◈ Books may be used for one event/task across all Wobble Events
◈ Unlike Leprechaun, books can not be used to cover multiple events/tasks
◈ All Questions go to Captains/Co-Captains who have majority in decision making
◈ Any questions Captains/Co-Captains cannot answer may be taken to mods BY Captain/Co-Captain only
and I did think that was a short time.

I pointed out this very page... we'll see what they say and hope for three. :)

This is all good advice! I just tend to get very cranky when I don't have anything I want to read. It's my primary form of entertainment and I hate feeling like I'm bored with the very thing I use to make me not bored!
I'm trying a variety of these things... I think the thing that's dragging me down is I have this "MUST FINISH SERIES I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF BEFORE STARTING NEW SERIES" mentality, and I'm not really sure why I have that. It's not like I remember so little about what I'm reading that reading different stuff is going to be a problem. So I might just say "screw it" and start a new series that I'm really excited about, even though I've got a bunch of series I'm partway through.

Kazen wrote: "Karin wrote: "I just finished Fried Green Tomatoes - not sure where it might fit - I can look tom..."
That might work - she had a major role in the book.

Bingo is three weeks! Huzzah!
One of my patients isn't doing well so I'm running off to the hospital, but I'll be back :)

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you - this totally works. :)

Yea! I'm glad you guys are reading for suspense 'cause it gives me the heebie-jeebies. ;)

(...I may be having too much fun with this...)

It's a hard habit to break - it feels good to complete stuff! I have a ton of series half-done and it took me a while to come to peace with it. One thing I love about series is that reading the next book feels like revisiting a group of beloved friends. So the series isn't un-finished, it's waiting for the perfect moment, maybe a time when I'm in a slump or having a bad week or whatever. If I ever feel that way I have a book to jump into, filled with a bunch of my favorite people, ready with open arms. Instead of 'not complete', it's waiting for the time I need it most. And there's no harm in that. :D
