Hmm... was there a dog? You can tell me. ;) :)"
Nope. Just a dislexic God.

Tammie's Luring a Lady (The Stanislaskis, #2) was read by Tea. (has BCMNOR)
Pragya's The Silver Linings Playbook was read by Amanda. (has CMNR)
Ray's (not yet finished) Chocolat was read by Karen. (so far has BCMNR, mention of silver in text)
Margaret is reading Behind Closed Doors which was read by Amanda. (at least has BCMNR)
That's 2 done, 2 in process out of 7 needed books for Milon's current boast.
@Tammie - I noticed Kelly has read a bunch of the On Dublin Street books, so I poked around some more. Sadly, she's not read #6.5 yet but she read Moonlight on Nightingale Street (#6) which is on your TBR. Also Until Fountain Bridge which would be a re-read for you, albeit a short one. Just thoughts! :D
ETA: "Boasts will be posted at random intervals through the rest of the challenge." So I think that means we'll continue to get them even if we don't finish this one.

Count on me reading Moonlight on Nightingale Way...I just checked it out from library via Overdrive...need to finish my silver book tonight first though...thanks for doing the checking on that.

Like it...good story...

Nice! You're welcome. :)
Bethany wrote: "I'm also currently reading The Golden Compass who was read by someone, though I'm not sure who."
Tea and Amanda both have it marked 'read' but Amanda doesn't have a date in there, so probably easier to go with Tea. :)
....so I forget what the prizes are for these (I should really go read it again) and just assumed we like prizes..? Not sure if we even want to go to the trouble for this one. If we do, there's still another book needed, as we have 2 done, 4 planned/in process out of 7. See post 2499. :D

I'm about 1/3 through, but so far I'm thinking its overrated. I wouldn't blame you for ditching it, but I'm far enough in where the sunk cost fallacy is keeping me from quitting.

Hmm... was there a dog? You can tell me. ;) :)"

:D does this make Annie our mascot? She is a RED dachshund....

I <3 Capys!!! Ever since I read Capyboppy when I was a tot.

Ugh, that's no fun. I read a novella in that world and the only good thing it had going for it was talking, metal-smithing polar bears. Saw the film long ago & it wasn't good either. :(

Silver: Then he would hire—or better, buy—a carriage, blue picked out in silver.

Happens to the best of us! This might be the best time for it too -- every book has at least a few letters for Wheel. :)

I see that this book is on the wobble shelf now... but it looks like it may be "to-read" instead of "read" ~sweatdrop~

Much love for everyone in the to kid or not to kid discussion - it's too bad we like individual posts because all of you would get so much ❤ from me!
On to the books, wooooooooo~

I see that people have beaten me to the dog jokes so I'll just say - great job! :)

I'm thinking yes :) We've had quite a bit of silver, I think, and we'll go down to one color bonus. So if the word is icky we can just complete it once and move on.
And the Milon boosts don't disappear during Wheel, so we can do that when it fits well :) Prize is one Omni-bonus.

Sounds like an awesome Wheel book! Please mention this when you turn the book in (if you haven't already!) so I don't forget :)

Silver needs to refer to the color. Quicksilver is a reference to the metal mercury (liquid at room temperature!) so it won't count, I'm afraid.
Silver and gold are a little touchy because often something can be "silver-like" and it's hard to tell if the author meant the metal or the color. In those cases we accept it, but quicksilver is something else entirely.

Hmm... was there a dog? You can tell me. ;) :)"

Thank you for doing this! I added the mod info in the sheet as a note in the "read by" column.

True! :D

The prize is one Omni-bonus. I haven't had time to get my mind around where we're at books wise for this one at the moment, but it may be easier to complete with a later word.

This is cementing my decision not to reread The Golden Compass - I loved it when I was a kid and will hold on to those memories forever, gosh darn it! ;)

It happens. Noble of you to finish despite not liking it! Now feel free to read some Bethany catnip, hehe :)

Jumping a little out of order to say - this is perfectly fine!! For every silver book we need a raft of other books to fill in the holes, so all books work nearly all the time. :D Read what makes you happy!

I entered books up to the Golden Compass (Bethany) and will get the last few plus any new ones after work. Have a good day/evening, all!

Sounds like an awesome Wheel book! Please mention this when you turn the book in (if you haven't already!) so I don't forget :) "
I just went through and found literally every Wheel color. :) Some are 4-in-1! "We lit a candle for every room, gold and red and white and orange." I've got it all noted. :) Now just to finish the dang thing...
D&D night tonight and our DM is bringing his new puppy, Hashbrown aka Trashbrown -- because they found her under a dumpster and rescued her! D'ahh! She's a chihuahua mix, tricolor. So I'm signing off for at least the next 6 hours to go straighten up, eat, shower, and puppy-proof the game room, squeeee!

You get some of my reading tastes AND love puppies AND PLAY D&D? WHY ARE WE NOT IRL FRIENDS?

DONE!

I tried to take out the duplicates -- seems like everyone has read
Not 100% sure on some of these, like does "Quicksilver" count? Or does "silver" need to be its own word? Also a lot of them are #2, 3, 11 in a series so....
