I interpreted this as first publishing ever, any edition. Caps - clarification?

We are killing on card 5! If think just 3 spots are left. Read a book with mountains on the cover
Read a book with river/sea on the cover
Read a book with valley on the cover
Off to look at covers,,,,
I'm fine discarding card 3 and even card 1 tbh. When I did the directional card in NRPG, I read a graphic novel called East of West, 2 volumes, haha. Sadly, comix are disallowed here...

Oh gosh, Mastiff had mountains on it. Can I recommend taking that out of triangle and moving it here? It will probably be easier to find another spell-it-out letter than mountains.
If we move Mastiff, my Shouldn't you be in School? can move from A to T (character: Theodora) and my current book fits A (character: Lisa Atwood). Current book is short, will finish today. Bethany wrote: "Ray (user2637) wrote: "We are killing on card 5! If think just 3 spots are left.

The spreadsheet's flipping out. It has 3 of us listed as last book read in June. Plus all of my books are gone off my page but 2! Though the Overall page still has the book count right, it has the page count wrong. D:ETA: Oh, and we're missing ~3660 pts and are now in last place, hahaha.

SanFrancisco Bay...not sure that would count as sea
It's hard to see...but I'm pretty sure the house where Family Tree takes place is on the ocean
I can read whichever of these next if they will work...

Correct :)
"Read a book first published in April (First published means the first time the edition I have was published, right?)"
Nope, first time the book was published anywhere. This info is found in gray on the book page, after the pub date of the edition shown.
Maddeningly this book doesn't have a month associated with its first published date (only a year) so I'll pop it in to set on other continent. Read on!

On the spreadsheet we show an I being open for this one, but there are TA books that work, yeaaaa.

Originally published in June?"
Yup - when I switch to another edition it shows a June pub date as the original so we're good.
Tammie wrote: "San Francisco Bay...not sure that would count as sea"This is where having lived in San Francisco comes in handy! The Bay actually starts at the Golden Gate Bridge, so the whole area to the right of it is actually the Pacific Ocean. It's mostly covered in fog but a) we know it's there and b) I can see some promising shimmers if I squint really hard so let's take it :)
The second book sadly doesn't work - the background on the left side of the cover is a wall with a chair in front, and we can't see anything through the window. If it were a setting task it would work, but it's a cover task, sadly.

I'll claim January for now. We'll see if there's a better spot when we get new cards. Kazen - you missed a strikethrough for mountains on card 5. :)

CARD 3
The Queen calls you in and since it's the Queen you of course drop everything and rush to the castle. When you arrive she pulls you aside and confesses her current disaster. "I'm set to go on another date with Prince Archer and I have nothing to wear!" Alarmed at the emotional distress of the Queen, you assure her that you'll work on the problem right away. As you start to back away, she pins you with a glare. "And I've heard about what those swindlers did to that Emperor who wanted new clothes so don't think you'll be getting away with that scam." You stammer a response and then flee to investigate new fabrics and ribbons.
Tasks:
•Read a book first published in 2016.
•Read a book with clothing on the cover to acquire a nice selection of fabrics to construct the Queen's new clothing.
Rewards:
•3 Experience

Karin wrote: "Finished The Girl from the Well which was published in May"While this edition was published in May we go by the original pub date, to the right of that in gray. Luckily we still need August (I seemed to forget it exists - thank you, Tammie!) so I'll pop it in there. Nice work!
