Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments I am reading Scar Tissue by Anthony Kiedis. I'll finish it tonight.

It covers every letter of LABORS and is Non-Fiction.

I am unclear on what I am signed up for. I'm pretty sure I need to read Imperial Life in the Emerald City: Inside Iraq's Green Zone - but can someone confirm?

Is there anything else I am allotted to? (I often make suggestions like "I can read: XXX" - but then am not sure if I am needed to).

Hope all are well. :)

message 2352: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments Also, does "4 authors whose first name started with the same letter for a single wheelathon word" mean we have to read 4 authors starting with one letter in the word LABORS?

Like we could read:
Three Wishes by Liane Moriarty
and
Seabiscuit: An American Legend by Laura Hillenbrand
and
Protector by Larry Niven
and
Against the Rules by Linda Howard ??

message 2353: by Skandia (new)

Skandia (sfgirl) | 1724 comments Kimberly, I was wondering about the same task too but I read and read and finally thought that the authors names should start with letters L, A, B, O, R or S .
Don't know which one is the right interpretation.

message 2354: by Ashley (last edited Aug 18, 2016 03:50AM) (new)

Ashley | 1439 comments I don't think it will work for green Kimberly as the intention is the colour but I can check. You're not signed up for anything else yet.

At the moment we need books with green in the title! If no-one claims then I'll use our bonus to get out of it

No, the author doesn't need to start with LABORS but the books you read have to fit in one spell it out.

Make sense? Just don't complicate :)

Ah yeah the narrator makes a huge difference!! I'm listening to one with an Australian accent now and I'm finding it tough (yes I'm Australian but the accents still sound weird on TV/audio things)

Nikki the Sapphired Book Dragon AKA NixieNut (sapphireddragon) | 1397 comments hoping to finish my read tonight. considering i flew through the first two books of the fever series, book 3 has been harder going but I don't know if it partly me or not. This stupid virus/cough is still kicking my butt also causing dysphonia. I haven't had a voice at all since August started but i thought i was starting to get better but in the last 24 hours the cough has returned with a vengeance. I have completely run out of sick leave and really want to be better by the time i start my new job on the 29th. I am completely and utterly sick of both coughing and not being able to talk.

sorry for the rant. I started and just couldn't stop. Anyhew long story short i have fallen behind n my reading this week so am planning on trying to catch up over the weekend :-P

message 2360: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 1439 comments Ouch Nikk that sounds bad :( hopefully it won't hang around for much longer!! You'd definitely be fed up by now

On the bright side...at least you don't need a voice to read :P

Nikki the Sapphired Book Dragon AKA NixieNut (sapphireddragon) | 1397 comments LOL that is very true Ashley though I have had to give away my penchant for reading out loud and my partner Damian has temporarily been assigned bed time story reader for our daughter :-P

Gillian Murrell | 497 comments Do i keep reading for wheel or is it over?

Nikki the Sapphired Book Dragon AKA NixieNut (sapphireddragon) | 1397 comments We have just under 12 hours till wheel finishes and then Bingo starts another 12 hours after that ( I was just looking at the countdowns :-P)

Also for Bingo, books just have to be finished after Bingo starts so even if you start a book now that may not work for labors, as long as you finish it once Bingo starts, we should be able to use it

Viji | 389 comments Will Mystery Novels work for the Genre Suspense? If so, would like to read for I-5. Planning to read Police by Jo Nesbø. Will this work for Genre Suspense?

BTW what is the formation we are going to aim at? Once that is known, it is easy to select the books to read. Thanks.

Ashley | 1439 comments UPDATE

WHEELATHON has officially finished!

We had some great luck at the end of it. We couldn't fill another "LABORS" as we didn't have any more green in the title books.

We spun "TAPIRS"....our bonus word...and we could actually fill it and receive the 100 bonus points! Whoo!!

Any books that have not been used or finished in time cab be used for the last event.

Nikki the Sapphired Book Dragon AKA NixieNut (sapphireddragon) | 1397 comments Yay! that was a nice little boost at the end :-)

N1 and G4 are okay. O2 won't work as it is a movie made into a book (not a book made into a movie)

Pick a spot on the bingo card (look at the WOBBLE spreadsheet - Bingo Tracking) and then let us know what square you've picked and what you're planning to read for it!
