Anyhew, wandered down the street to the library and have picked up On Haunted Ground: The Green Ghost and Other Spirits of Cemetery Road by Lisa Rogers so its an NF book that should work for either H or L as well as Milon's boast. Starting it now so hoping to finish it tonight

Would WHEEL still bring in more points than whatever our bonus word is? If yes, then maybe we should stick with it till the last possible minute, and then we can use books that don't fit WHEEL.

Ashley, I haven't read any Morgan Matson books but I keep hearing good things about them and actually nearly bought The Unexpected Everything today

Bit of a maths question Noa!

So everytime we complete WHEEL we receive 65 points. 50 points (5x10) for the letters and 15 for the colour bonus. This means that each book in WHEEL averages to earn 13 points.

Our bonus word (IF we spin it) is RED PANDAS. On the first completion we would receive 90 points for the letters, 30 points for the colours (would change to 2 colour bonus and reset to 1 for the new week) and 100 points (ONCE ONLY) for the team for a total of 205 points. Per letter is 26 points.

For the second completion 13.3 points per letter.

After the new week this would then drop (because of only completing one colour bonus per word) to 11.6 points per letter.

We could roll BURNING FIREBIRDS which has 16 letters.

On completion we would receive 160 points for the letters, 30 points for the colours (would change to 2 colour bonus and reset to 1 for the new week). Per letter is 11.9 points.

After the new week this would then drop (because of only completing one colour bonus per word) to 10.9 points per letter.

There aren't many books that don't fit WHEEL. There is a homeless books sheet in our WOBBLE spreadsheet. Mostly they have just been set aside in case we need a tricky letter in the next word.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question so thoroughly! It seems, especially when considering we might not get the bonus word, like we should stick with WHEEL.

Not too many homeless books. I thought there was more, so I'm relieved.

@Kimberly, It might be helpful to have a small reserve if we're hit with a hard word, but I kind of agree.
