This was a nice surface mystery. It’s reminded me of a lot of the mysteries I read when I was younger. I loved the plot and enjoyed reading through to characters sleuthing.
I enjoyed this book about the two gypsy women and their physic gift. They had to work hard to figure out the mystery and harder still to convince a Sherriff who belittled their gifts and abilities.
Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...
1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.
2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.
3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.
4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.
5 stars... I loved this book! It had earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.
A story of 2 sisters that own a cafe. They have a gift that's passed down for generations, they can read coffee beans. The messages in the beans are clues to solve mysteries. The little town has a recluse that lives in the forest. He turns up dead and the police say it's from natural causes. Then the coffee beans tell a different story. This story is very cute and a easy read.
I only gave 2 stars because it was too simplistic, cute (?), and not enough depth. Yes, it's a short read, but still... The story wasn't bad. These characters could be really great. I will read the next one. This series has potential and I like coffee.
This is a cute, quick little novella with yummy sounding coffee recipes. A tale of two sisters, descended from gypsies that own and operate a coffee shop. Their inherited gift of the ability to read/see things in the coffee helps them solve mysteries and crimes. A nice start for this series.
