No, but I have an all year reading challenge (started in April) of 25 books (but I've only read 7 *wince*) and Assassin's Apprentice is one of them. So I'll do it eventually.

Ashley | 1439 comments Has anyone read a book with a tool on the cover?

Ange has read the ruins book which according to the colour eye works for black. So now just need to fill the tool task and we are set for Event 5

Nikki the Sapphired Book Dragon AKA NixieNut (sapphireddragon) | 1397 comments I love robin hobb especially the assassin's apprentice series. I have fool's quest literally on my tbr shelf at home waiting to be read :-)

Rebecca (rebeccaemma) | 85 comments Oh Ash, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. That is just beyond devastating. Sending love your way.

On another note, it's a bit sad that the mods found it necessary to send that note out! Glad I'm in a team who realise that this is just a bit of fun. Thanks ladies for making this experience so good! X x

message 1757: by Ange (new)

Ange (bentleyrise) | 484 comments Couldn't agree more Rebecca love the chatty fun with you awesome ladies more than being top dog. Wish all the teams luck but say we are pretty lucky anyway. Pressure to read my tool book I have less than two hours to go will ask husband to do dinner and kids so I can sit and read *putting on my suck up face*

Ashley | 1439 comments Thanks Rebecca. Personally I would like our chatty team AND to be top dog. Because I'm greedy and want it all :)

~~~N~~~ (chocolate-cannibal-bunnies) | 616 comments Okay, it's been a while since I checked the spreadsheet, but we are not doing well..... Yeah, I may feel the competitiveness now. Those Dholes are monsters though. *whistles* So many books.
message 1762: by Ashley (new)
Ashley | 1439 comments I know! There are some incredible readers around. I could take a week off of work and still not be able to read that much
message 1763: by ~~~N~~~ (new)
~~~N~~~ (chocolate-cannibal-bunnies) | 616 comments I know from experience that if I tried, I could, but I don't want to. I prefer balance.

message 1766: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments I read a book with a tool - I believe it was counted that way though. Do we need another?

SO YOU WANT YO START A BREWERY. it has an axe on it.

I really enjoyed it I would recommend you read it. Its a quick easy read that i found really well done. I find it hard to comment on it as i don't want to give to much away.

Gillian, it's good to know it's a quick read. Thanks for the feedback ^.^

I got a copy of Torn, but I figured I'd try and finish the No Apologies (by tomorrow, I promise myself) before I read it. How does it compare to book 1?
I read Unchained ages ago, but I wish a second book had come out.

Wheelathon Rules have been posted here; https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

I've also popped the most relevant rules on Page 1 of this thread.

Let us know if you have questions!!

Also, while I have your attention - can you please go through your read books and check that they appear in the spreadsheet :)

message 1781: by ~~~N~~~ (new)

~~~N~~~ (chocolate-cannibal-bunnies) | 616 comments Ashley, I checked and the only ones missing are the Captive Prince books I read yesterday. Also, I have another reread (I usually reread a lot).
Book: Out of the Blues by Mercy Celeste
Nikk, how does it compare to her other series?
message 1783: by Skandia (new)
Skandia (sfgirl) | 1724 comments I have decided to give one more chance to super popular Cassandra Clare books.
I've started Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, #1) by Cassandra Clare
People keep saying The Infernal Devices series is better than The Mortal Instruments series that I already tried but didn't care much. We'll see about that.
message 1784: by Ange (new)
Ange (bentleyrise) | 484 comments Good luck with the infernal devices I'm a bit on the fence with the mortal instruments I did and didn't like it.
message 1785: by Ange (new)
Ange (bentleyrise) | 484 comments Karishma hope everything is okay.
Ashley all my books are showing up on the books read part. Dont envy you having to shuffle all the books around again for wheelathon, we may be low on the points scale now but hopefully we get a nice easy short word first and rocket up because of all of our backlog books.
message 1786: by Ange (new)
Ange (bentleyrise) | 484 comments How long does Wheelathon last I cant find the time anywhere?
I wonder if the fact i read it on audio made a difference, some times books written in letter format can be really hard to get through.
message 1789: by Ashley (new)
Ashley | 1439 comments I'm pleased to announce that the bonus rounds are now open!
Any books that you start now can be used towards a bonus round.
My thoughts are that the easiest to aim for is Event 2 Page Jumping. We will need to have a minimum of 8 books in a row to start getting points...this looks like;
100 - 150
151 - 200
201 - 250
251 - 300
301 - 350
351 - 400
401 - 450
451 - 500
More is better :D
Don't stress and just see how we go. Remember that books can be used for Wheelathon if they don't work here.
message 1790: by Ashley (new)
Ashley | 1439 comments I'm using the bonus round as an excuse to put down Truthwitch and start reading The BFG (200 pages) :D
I'm also catching the bus this morning instead of driving so definitely will get this finished today
message 1791: by Ashley (new)
Ashley | 1439 comments Ange wrote: "How long does Wheelathon last I cant find the time anywhere?"
I'll check :)
message 1792: by ~~~N~~~ (new)
~~~N~~~ (chocolate-cannibal-bunnies) | 616 comments Starting now? Okay, then I'll put No Apologies and The Law of Attraction aside to read The Chosen Ones for 100-150 pages. I don't think I really have the time for a longer book before Olympics ends.

Nikki the Sapphired Book Dragon AKA NixieNut (sapphireddragon) | 1397 comments I am going to give Cinder a go. It's 390 pages so can't guarantee I will finish in time for Olympics but will definitely give it a go

message 1794: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (poweki) | 1713 comments I've got about 4 hours left of CRASH INTO YOU.

I'm at work now though... I can read at lunch and this evening. But I'm not sure how much longer I've got.

It's 474 pages

Nikki the Sapphired Book Dragon AKA NixieNut (sapphireddragon) | 1397 comments karishma, I think Noa and Ashley have already claimed the 100-150 and 150 - 200 slots

but yes generally a book of 100 pages will count
