For the Glen Frey - Heartbreak Hotel task (read a horror story) I read Brother Odd by Dean Koontz, it was ok - 3.5 stars
Just as during the last June toppler, I started out with a book by Patrick Modiano (his books are of a perfect length for topplers!), I chose it as a mystery book (Pat Harrington Jr and Ken Howard). It was fine, I gave it 3 stars. So You Don't Get Lost in the Neighborhood.

I actually finished a book this weekend! I didn't think I'd get the chance. I read: The Winter Girl by Matt Marinovich as a 'cosy mystery', in tribute to Pat Harrington Jr and Ken Howard in Murder, She Wrote. Not sure what I'll start yet, but it'll be exciting to gopher!

Teanka wrote: "Just as during the last June toppler, I started out with a book by Patrick Modiano (his books are of a perfect length for topplers!), I chose it as a mystery book (Pat Harrington Jr and Ken Howard)..."The books for Pat Harrington Jr and Ken Howard are cozy mysteries. You need to find another task for your book.
Cozy myseries very rarely focus on sex, profanity or violence. The murders take place off stage, and are often relatively bloodless (e.g. poisoning), while sexual activity (if any) between characters is only ever gently implied and never directly addressed. They usually takes place in a small town or village, and the sleuth is usually an amateur.
I finished my 2nd book - Girl Missing (for best selling female author). Excellent! I love her books! I can't update my previous post but I will after I finish mowing my front lawn and fire up my laptop.
I am 30% done with
(celebrity in it). Loving it!Also started
. I think this one will be for humor. I don't think we have any Christen Fiction catagory. I bought it for the title a long time ago. Not falling down laughing but fun story so far. I keep thinking of Atticus and the first time he met up with Jesus. Not sure where I will go next.

If the description of a book has anything about a thriller or suspense, it is not a cozy.
Oh well - I'm sorry - I didn't see the definition for cozy mystery. It was definitely a mystery and they were 'snuggled' in the deserted Hamptons, so I thought it would fit. Thanks for letting me know.Instead, the book The Winter Girl fits with the category - Horror as it is a main page genre and definitely has a Hotel California feel to it!

Oh no Teanka,! Doesn't look as though your book will fit anything else either. At least it was a short one.☺
