A crime writer has stepped up to support the cozy writers and the cozy genre. Brian Kavanagh has donated a kindle edition of each of his Belinda Lawrence Mystery Series novels. There are 6 books in all. This is labled as woman sleuth/crime/suspense on Amazon but reads like an English village mystery with some modern elements. Thank you Brian for your support!

I am behind on that series. I think I have read the first 3 and need to continue.
Question:Would it be ok to include favorite novels that are no longer in print? I love these novels and I would like to read one of them during the readathon.
Thank you in advance.

Thank you!
I would like to say that I am proud to be a part of this readathon, as I believe in cozy mysteries. Just a note that I may not be checking in very much because I am performing in a musical theater production this weekend, as well. However, I will be thinking of this group, and posting when I can.

Many people have conflicts for part of the day and will just check in when they can so that is fine. Mark Baker, one of our bloggers at Carstairs Considers, will be traveling all day, so he put up a post on his blog to help out even though he won't be available the day of the event.

A traditional mystery writer has stuck her toes in the water of the Save Our Cozies readathon. C. Michele Dorsey has donated a hardcover copy of No Virgin Island: A Sabrina Salter Mystery to the readathon to support cozy writers and series. Thank you Michele ! And just to let people know the 2nd book in the series, Permanent Sunset: A Sabrina Salter Mystery is coming out in October. Something to look forward to!
I already read one of the books I had set aside for the Readathon over the weekend. Murder at Hatfield House. But I have some of the other books from the series that I can read, plus several others! I really liked this one.

Just picked up this lovely donation from a book club member from my IRL book club. She wished to remain anon. I am showing the 2 totes she pressed with the Save Our Cozies image with the books donated by Joan Silvestro of Booktrader of Hamilton and Susan Van Kirk ' s donated bookmarks. Forgive the photo quality - a photographer I am not ;)
A puzzling donation has been fitted in by Julie Seedorf. She is donating one audiobook and one ebook of The Penderghast Puzzle Protectors: A Brilliant, Minnesota Mystery. Thank you , Julie.
Not sure if the messages on Facebook are working.I tried to contact one of the administrators of Save Our Cozies because when I asked an author FB friend if he would like to donate a book to readathon, he said Sure, he would be happy to.
And he asked for a message with contact information. since I did not have the contact information regarding book donations, I sent a FB message to one of the administrators.
His name is Charles Finch and he writes the Charles Lennox mystery series.
Thank you in advance.

Thank you very much!!! Two things: I am sorry that I did not have your contact information for book donations from authors for the readathon. And I was worried that I was too late. Sometimes I have a lousy sense of timing!
Thank you again!

6 a.m. for me in Germany :D But I will start a little bit later, I used to sleep a little bit longer at weekends.
I'm not making much progress in either of my books. I think I might try to get a few hours' sleep and try hitting it hard in the morning!
I have a problem: one of my cats is sick. I don't know if today I can read a page... ;-((( In the afternoon I have to take him to the vet and I fear that he has to be deleted. I'm not really in the soul just to read ...
Thank you. I will post some comments about the books that I read and which belong to the series that are threatened with closure.
I am checking in. Just completed hour 8 challenge on FB. I couldn't get the puzzle to load on my Ipad.
Me too. Surprise t-storm knocked out our power last night, and I can't read my Kindle if it's the only light - it gives me a bad headache. So I accepted the inevitable and went to sleep, lol. This morning I've got out-of-state company arriving, but I will get in some reading. Are we supposed to post what we're reading?
Checking back in! I gave up late last night and went to bed, but I plan to be on for most of the day :)
Still reading Last Wool and Testament by Molly MacRae which I started prior to the Readathon. I'm really enjoying this book so will definitely read more in this series. Traveling today so won't be a lot of time for reading til this evening.
Just finished Basket Case by Nancy Haddock - now am starting the next in her series Paint the Town Dead
