In short, it's a zombie book. I've always enjoyed explorations of the post apocalyptic genre, and have always been a fan of classic horror (Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, Vincent Price)... what's really bogged me down in the genre of late has been the fixation on violence and 'gore' rather than exploring the rich opportunities for storytelling and character development. I wanted to write something that would be both accessible and enjoyable for people who otherwise wouldn't gravitate towards this genre, but also appeal to its traditional cult fan base.
There is violence, adult situations, coarse language and some sexual content (implied; not explicit).
