I finished Memories of Ice and I started The Thousand Names. I've had it in paperback, sitting on my bookshelf, for a couple years so cracking it open is way overdue.

Right now, I think my personal record is a few years ago when I read the copy of The Last Unicorn I bought sometime in the early 1990s.
Sasha, The White Tree: The Cycle of Arawn: Book I and Steelheart. Enjoying Steelheart the most so far, kept me up way too long on Sunday. Work is painful now, haha.

At the same time, usually by the time I am done the book I am kicking myself for not picking it up earlier.

Earlier this month I read "Beyond the Veil" by Jessica Majzner. Classic, monstrous vampires and werewolves. I liked it quite a bit. It had a great, descriptive writing style. The world building was very nice, I hope to read more from this author. Now I'm reading the "Raven's Shadow" series by Anthony Ryan, Really liked "Blood Song", on "Tower Lord now". Very cool characters and great world building as well.
Finished Sword of lictor and here is my review for it, one of the most cryptic books I have read so far.
Finished The Last Wish yesterday and absolutely loved it. I've really been trying to be more stingy with my stars but when you've read really great books it's hard. Well, I gave it 5 stars. Loved the way it was written. Loved the characters. What can I say. I really recommend the book. I went ahead and started Age of Myth. I just couldn't wait. For those that hate to wait for the "next" book to come out in a series and it seems to take forever, Michael has already finished this series before the first book came out so hopefully they won't be spaced too bad. I must say, I just started the book and I'm already engrossed. Mr. Sullivan, you are truly a gifted writer.
Finishing up End of WatchI also hope to finish the broken empire trilogy in july. Iam currently on book 2 about 15% done
Finished Hyperion by Dan Simmons, extremely interesting novel, but I absolutely hated the ending. Currently reading A Thousand Names by Wexler, enjoying it so far and curious to see where it goes. Jonathan
I am currently reading
Plan on reading the all the books in the Farseer Trilogy. I am half way through the first book, and although the story is a little slow. I am enjoying it.
Made it through 3 Shannara trilogies this month and have started the final one:The Defenders of Shannara
The High Druid's Blade 2 stars :(
The Darkling Child
The Sorcerer’s Daughter

I opened the month with Lord of Emperors, the excellent conclusion -if a bit grandiose- of the Sarantine Mosaic. I guess I can never have too much Kay...I'm waiting for a quiet moment to savour his latest work. Then I read The Blue Sword, which is #2 of a series but I read it smoothly as a standalone. Classic fantasy and a pleasant read.
A little dalliance with romance (Kei's Gift, M/M indie fantasy, pleasant read if you discount the page count; Lord of the Fading Lands, a fantasy romance which came very recommended...kind of ok but the whole soulmate stuff is not for me; The Duchess War, historical romance starring an interesting heroine) followed by The Wheel of Osheim, the last book of Mark Lawrence's latest trilogy. Superb stuff.
I'm closing the month with some more YA: The Cadet of Tildor, which was fun and then Sherwood Smith's books starting with The Trouble with Kings. This standalone surprised me because it's a very smart story, and the heroine finds herself face-down in the mud more often than not, my subsequent reads A Stranger to Command and (currently reading) Crown Duel are much in the same vein, I love YA tales with a smart twist, exactly what I needed right now.
