Leani (levikha) | 6 comments In January 2016 an (annotated) German-language edition of Mein Kampf was published for the first time since the end of WW2. It garnered considerable international attention and has been reprinted several times. However, in spite of all this it is in essence an edition of Mein Kampf, and I believe it should be combined with the other editions. However, there is a librarian note recommending against it: "NOTE: This book must not be combined with any other edition of "Mein Kampf", as this is an annotated version which includes the original text as a source of reference.
Mixing the ratings of this book with ratings of the original one doesn't make any sense." I couldn't find a previous discussion here about this particular book, but my understanding is that all editions, whether annotated or abridged or translated, should be combined into one work, and that readers can note the differences in their reviews. Will someone please confirm that this is correct?

Correct.

Thanks, I'll combine it and remove the librarian note. Any standard procedure for letting the other librarian know what was done so he doesn't separate them again, or do I just leave it at that?

I suggest leaving a Note reminding of policy and linking to this thread.
