Oops... Discovered I posted the following in the wrong spot last week -- blame it on the cold I'm just getting over. :-\

Being sick this week (nothing serious, cold virus is making the circuit at work), I wanted a quick read, so plucked a rom-suspense out of Mount TBR, KCPD Protector by Julie Miller. Made it nearly halfway through yesterday! (And yes, it's also my "Man" cover for this month's minis.)

KCPD Protector (The Precinct #23) by Julie Miller

Anyway, finished it Saturday night. Aside from a couple editing snafus, it was a pretty good rom-suspense.

Hope they are still in good condition. When I was moving I brought several boxes of books dowstairs from the attic. Turns out the summer heat really was not good for them. I was only able to salvage some of them. Won't have that problem again since I don't have an attic or basement anymore.

Not a lot of non-cozy lastly, due to the challenges ☺ Two of the last ones were Fractured (a paranormal romance I enjoyed a lot) and Every Dark Corner (one of those thrillers with some hard-reading part, as it's a thriller about child abuse, pornography and traffic with some parts from the POV of a victim and the abuser).

Fractured (Deep in Your Veins, #5) by Suzanne Wright Every Dark Corner (Romantic Suspense, #18; Cincinnati, #3) by Karen Rose

I read it last year and I found it really interesting. The author wisely interwove the really two separate stories together so it wouldn't be too dry a read. Enjoy!

This one is in Mount TBR, along with the latest Patricia Briggs and Jeaniene Frost.

Started Dark Witch by Nora Roberts over the weekend, managed to read half of it.

message 350: by BLynne (new)

BLynne I finished Forever Odd by Dean Koontz and really enjoyed the story. I find the lead character Odd to be very interesting and fascinating. I just started reading The Art and Craft of Storytelling by Nancy Lamb. Figured it's time to get back into writing stories again. Not sure when I will return to reading Cozy Mysteries.
