sorry...I've been struggling with a cold all weekend so I kept starting this one and then falling asleep.....

so, I'm FINALLY 5 chapters

Wren(view spoiler)[ Yikes. I know of parents like this - who push their own ideas and agendas on their kids. I could never imagine doing that. What a tough spot but I love that she's sticking to her guns. She should get to pick how her life goes - especially if she's not asking for funding or anything else from her parents except that that they love and support her (hide spoiler)]

but honestly, no joke, the parents having these expectations here in Atlanta (or maybe Georgia as a whole) is huge. I live her and man, that is the truth.
I know a 7th grader who already knows - since elementary school - that her parents expect her to be a doctor. She hates even the sight of blood - but her parents just don't care - she WILL BE a doctor. ugh. it's just awful. she's so stressed out she has insomnia..... (hide spoiler)]

The 1 star rating is only because this book gets SO sexually graphic the last half and I hadn't anticipated that.

This book is actually shelved in the Adult section of my library (something else I hadn't caught before reading it)....

Wow I did not like this. I stopped at 30 pages. I found no point in continuing because I honestly could not relate to either character as well as didn't really like the (view spoiler)[creepiness of how Charlie had insta love with Wren (hide spoiler)]. You were right about the sexual writing towards the end, (view spoiler)[I randomly went to a page and discovered Wren having a masturbation scene thinking of Charlie... Weird. (hide spoiler)] Thanks anyways for the buddy read!
