Thanks, Elsa, I just ordered it from the library.

Mairenn Hhmmmm...this is quite tricky. I want to pick something in line with the Holidays as well but I can't find any on your lists. Or i just wasn't looking well enough. Your TBRs are so huge! haha!

Elsa Carrion (ecarrion) | 642 comments I also have the one I picked for you and that was on the Thanksgiving list like I mentioned earlier. So if all else fails you can pick that one for me and we can read it together.

Marla | 514 comments Thanksgiving by Janet Evanovich is just a quick, silly romance and I'm really enjoying it! Life is stressful right now, and I just needed some fluff...and he has a pet bunny!!!!!!!!

Though I realized that it wasn't on my Pick List...but it was languishing on my tbr just waiting for a November and Elsa :D

That actually a great idea Elsa! Okay so we'll both read this month! :)

Marla | 514 comments It's that time again!

Elsa, for you, I pick Starfire Angels (Starfire Angels Dark Angel Chronicles, #1) by Melanie Nilles because it's the oldest book on your pick list and angels are sort of seasonal :D

Marienn, I have chosen Flat-Out Love (Flat-Out Love, #1) by Jessica Park (I wanted to pick Wonder because that title could sound Christmas-y, but I LOVE Flat Out Love, so I changed, but there is an awesome Christmas scene in the book :D). Marienn, could you please pick me 2 books for November and December? Thank you!

Here's my pick list: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...

Elsa Carrion (ecarrion) | 642 comments Marla for December I picked The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf (Naked Werewolf, #2) by Molly Harper . The title it's very Christmas-y but it has snow on the cover.

Marienn I've selected for you Towering by Alex Flinn . It has snow and a pine on the cover a little like Christmas LOL.

Marla | 514 comments In November I read: Flesh & Bone (Rot & Ruin, #3) by Jonathan Maberry Thanksgiving by Janet Evanovich Friday Night Bites (Chicagoland Vampires, #2) by Chloe Neill The Revenge of Seven (Lorien Legacies, #5) by Pittacus Lore & I started re-reading Gods of Manhattan (Gods of Manhattan, #1) by Scott Mebus because I didn't know what was going on when I started reading The Sorcerer's Secret (Gods of Manhattan, #3) by Scott Mebus , so I'm making progress :D

Hey ladies, just curious to know whether you all are still going to participate in this thread next year. If so, I will open up a new one for you as the folders move down so we can make way for the new threads for the new year.

message 63: by Elsa (new)

Elsa Carrion (ecarrion) | 642 comments Hay Sylvia, you remembered us.

I would love too keep both ladies but not sure on what there plans are. But I'm definitely in for 2017.

Mairenn Hi guys!
So sorry I've been MIA for the last month.
I did enjoy doing the challenge with you guys. I really did but I'm really sorry I won't be participating in it this 2017.

Continue having fun with this ladies! :) Happy Reading!

message 67: by Marla (new)

Marla | 514 comments Happy reading to you too, Mairenn! Thanks for doing the challenge with us.

Do you have time to pick me my last 2 books?
My pick list: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...

message 68: by Mairenn (new)

Mairenn Oh! I'm sorry I forgot to pick for you Marla.

Here are my picks: (I can't tag the books, I'm using my phone.)
November: The Iron Traitor by Julie Kagawa
December: Winter by Marissa Meyer.

I haven't read both series but I've read good reviews about these.
Hope you like it! :)

I'm glad you ladies enjoyed this challange. Hope next year is as fun.

message 70: by Marla (new)

Marla | 514 comments Thanks Mairenn, I've needed to continue and finish both those series!!

You should definitely read the Cinder series if you like YA fantasy and the Iron Fey series is good too. I've enjoyed both series.

message 71: by Mairenn (new)

Mairenn I'll probably pick the first book of the Lunar Chronicles this year :)

Oh and btw, I'll be leaving this group. I've been receiving too many notifs even for those threads I haven't participated in. I hope you'll have a great 2017! Kuddos to you and Elsa :)
Thanks for the picks for all those months.

message 72: by Mairenn (new)

Mairenn PS. I mean I'll pick the book next year :D

message 73: by Elsa (new)

Elsa Carrion (ecarrion) | 642 comments Aw Mairenn, sad that you won't be with us.

But sadder that you said your leaving the group or am I reading it wrong. Did you mean just not participating in our little group or are you saying the entire Never Too Old group?

message 74: by Marla (last edited Dec 30, 2016 07:28PM) (new)

Marla | 514 comments I'm sorry that you'll be leaving us, Mairenn, but do you know that you can turn off notifications for a group? (If you go to your Profile page and edit your profile, at the bottom of Email settings, you can choose None for a group and you won't get email or notifications.) As well as threads even if you've commented?

Just a suggestion, so we won't lose you from the group.

message 75: by Mairenn (new)

Mairenn Hi Elsa and Marla.
Happy New Year to you! I wish you a prosperous and great year ahead!

I've known about that Marla but thanks anyway :)
I just thought that since I'm not going to participate on any thread and discussions anymore, there's no reason for me to stay. I'm really sorry too that I'll be leaving but we're now friends so we'll still see each other's updates once in a while :)

message 76: by Elsa (new)

Elsa Carrion (ecarrion) | 642 comments Happy New Year to you as well Marienn!!
and I'm glad we can still see your updates.
