this is going to be so exciting. I rarely do team challenges so this is something out of my comfort zone. Glad to meet you Nicole!

I'm going to start off by reading The Warrior's Daughter

message 3: by [deleted user] (last edited May 16, 2016 06:09AM) (new)

Finished The Warrior's Daughter and it was great.

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments Hi! I'm so excited for this challenge! I'm starting off with The Blood of Olympus

message 5: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments The first two books I'll be reading for this challenge are sequels, so if you have a sequel you've been wanting to read, we have a boxed set

sounds perfect, I'll probably read Murder of Crows to go along with your sequels. I'm also planning on reading two separate trilogies for 2 box sets, the Blood Ninja series and Dance Upon the Air series. I'm currently working on 3 books by the same author, Amanda Quick and another 3 by Holly Bennett

Now that I look at them all on paper that really is a lot. Just let me know if you need me to read another book to go with your box sets, I'm going all in on this challenge...lots of books :p

message 7: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments Sounds great!!

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

just finished and posted my review for The River Knows. the first of 3 Amanda Quick books

message 9: by [deleted user] (last edited May 17, 2016 07:38AM) (new)

Just finished The Bonemender. the 2nd of the Holly Bennett box set. I am having a lot of fun with this :)

message 10: by Nicole (last edited May 17, 2016 12:06PM) (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments Oh wow you're reading fast! I'll be reading a lot tomorrow, unfortunately I can't today because I have work :(

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

I've had the last few days off, so I've been reading like crazy, but today it was back to work. so I won't be reading as much for the next 3 days or so. I just wanted to get a head start on some of my books before I had to take a break :p

message 12: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments Haha makes sense

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

our first box set is completed!!! 3 books by Holly Bennett. starting the 2nd of three Amanda Quick books today.

message 14: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments Yay! I should be finishing my book soon. It's really long so we'll get 2 points for it instead of one

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

nice!!

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

I finished Lie by Moonlight last night, so I'm only one book away from another box set. I don't know about you but I haven't read this much in a while. Having a challenge always makes me want to read as much as I can to see how many points I can get with my team members. Plus I find that I read a lot out of my comfort zone and find some amazing books.

message 17: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments It helps me to catch up on all the books I've been meaning to read! And I'll be finishing my book this week

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

Same, my TBR list always gets smaller, if only for a little while :p. No rush on your book, the best part of being a FUN team is we don't have a quota to meet, so we can each read at our own pace. It's no fun when you feel like you have to read 4-7 or however many books.

message 19: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments True! And very true, but I only have like 150 or so pages left so it'll be done soon

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

so it's down to that last bit where you want to marathon the rest in one go.

message 21: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments Pretty much!! But I can't because of school and work :(

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

Same here, I work all day then I hate myself later when I stay up reading, I wake up at 5 so I end up being so tired. But sometimes I just can't help myself :p

message 23: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments I do the same thing!! And wow that's early

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

yeah, but then my day at work ends sooner so I like that part of it, gives me lots of time to do things after work

message 25: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments Yeah that's nice

message 26: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments In the reviews thread, how did you get your review links to show the book title instead of just a link?

message 27: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments Also, finished The Blood of Olympus (The Heroes of Olympus, #5) by Rick Riordan !!
I'll be starting Hollow City (Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children, #2) by Ransom Riggs next, once it comes (I ordered it online). Also, I also ordered Library of Souls (Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children, #3) by Ransom Riggs so I can finish the sequels boxed set if there wasn't a sequel that you were planning to read.

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

Nicole wrote: "In the reviews thread, how did you get your review links to show the book title instead of just a link?"

When you're doing your link, after you put in the link address there is the words "my link text" and you can put whatever words you want there, I just choose to put the books title.

href="http://www.goodreads.com>my link text

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

I have one book left for my Amanada Quick box set, I'm about halfway done. I'm working on a trilogy as well. I'll start a sequel today, Ink Exchange is probably what I'll start since I'm reading the 1st in the series right now. I've got a bunch of books on hold and I'm doing a read-a-thon right now so I want to read as much as I can

message 30: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments Thank you! And it's awesome that you're doing a read-a-thon!

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

yeah I signed up for another team challenge after this one. the Wobble challenge, it's like 18 weeks long and they are having activities before it starts in june.

message 32: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments Oh wow. Sounds fun!

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

yeah, there are 6 different challenges over the course of the Wobble. the one I'm looking forward to is Battleship, plus there's a Wheel-a-thon, Bingo and more. I had to commit to at least 1 book a week but that should be pretty easy over the summer.

message 34: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments Yeah that won't be too hard over the summer

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

For some reason I always read more during the summer, maybe because it gets so nice out where I live, plus I can go and read at the beach

message 36: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments Same! Plus I have more free time since school is out

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

Exactly!

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

Another book finished, Wicked Lovely. Since We're doing a box set for sequels I was thinking we should do one for the first books in a series, if you're planning on starting any new series let me know and we can put them together.

message 39: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments I wasn't planning to, but I can find one to read! Still waiting on Hollow City to get here so I can start reading it :(

message 40: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 26, 2016 10:07PM) (new)

I hope it gets here soon, you sound like you really want to starting reading it :) I just finished Obernewtyn. I'm just going to put my status on box sets here so I don't lose track :p

Blood Ninja trilogy: 1 of 3(Amy)
in the serpents coils
Starlighter
A woman worth ten coppers
Holding the dream
In the Blood
Cress
The Healer's Apprentice

It's so easy to lose track of where you are sometimes.

message 41: by Nicole (last edited May 21, 2016 02:06PM) (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments Just checked the tracking and it comes tonight! I am really excited, the first book in the series was so good! And for my boxed sets I'll have 2 out of 3 sequels done soon and then did you have a sequel that could finish the boxed set? If not, I have one I can read. And then I'll read a first book in series to complete that set.

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

I just started the final first book in a series so you don't have to worry about that. I fully plan on starting my sequel tonight as well. Luckily since it's the weekend I have tons of time. I'll updated my lists in my previous post to include the one we're both working on.

message 43: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments Awesome! And once we both finish I'll make the boxed set post for sequels

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

sounds like a plan :)

message 45: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments Oh and I'll be reading Gathering Blue (The Giver, #2) by Lois Lowry Messenger (The Giver, #3) by Lois Lowry Son (The Giver Quartet, #4) by Lois Lowry next. And they're all the same series so there's another boxed set.

message 46: by [deleted user] (last edited May 21, 2016 04:12PM) (new)

Nice! I have the Lois Lowry books, they are so good. Gathering Blue is my favorite out of the 4.

message 47: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments Once I finish I'll have to let you know whether or not I agree!

message 48: by [deleted user] (last edited May 21, 2016 04:30PM) (new)

totally, I think you'll enjoy them, though they can get somewhat confusing at times, but maybe that's just me :p

message 49: by Nicole (new)

Nicole (nicolemelnyk) | 134 comments Haha okay I'll keep that in mind. The first one got a little confusing at times too

message 50: by [deleted user] (last edited May 22, 2016 08:47AM) (new)

Hey, I just posted the box set for the ones I reading for the 1st in a series. So I'll be starting my sequel right now. Night World, No. 2 it's over 450 pages so it might take me two days to finish it.
