Section 2

Please keep all discussion and speculation to the events of Chapter 13-34.

No spoiler tags required. Though it would be highly appreciated if you Uncheck Add to my Update Feed to avoid accidentally spoiling things for your good read friends.

Darrow is struggling with this torture and imprisonment, and it might get some people killed. He's letting people walk all over him.

Sevro is out of control. It's no wonder he's losing. I hope they can find a way through this. Things look really bad right now. Sevro's always been his most loyal friend. I'd hate to see a rift form now.

Meanwhile we get our first glimpse of Mustang (and the Telemonises) but no answers for me yet about where any of them stand now that they know the truth. Boo!

Interesting that Quicksilver seemed to be trying to broker some deal between them and presumably the Sovereign.

I hope we start getting some answers soon.

Wow, so Quicksilver was the money for the Sons of Ares. That makes a lot of sense. I still don't fully trust him though. I want to/hope he's telling the truth.

I was super nervous/upset at a rift forming between Darrow and Sevro. I had to stop mid chapter, but I think after a bit of a brawl and a near disastrous detonation of explosives/shooting near Sevro they might be on the mend. Sevro's had a good cry. I'm super anxious to get back to the book after work, but I hope they can stay united and move ahead.

They have enough problems without fighting among themselves over power/control of the Sons.

We also learned that Mustang supposedly saved not only the PAX, but all it's crew and left it under control of Orion. I hope that's true as well.

I really love the Telemontises, and want to believe they are good and will side with Darrow.

Things are getting really good, but super nerve wracking. I'm tempted to get the ebook so I can keep reading after I get home, but I'll probably just listen extra to the audio like I have the last 2 days.

Poor Ragnar. I'm really upset that's he's dead. Also that what's her name got away..again. She better get hers in the end.

So Darrow has his Obsidian army it seems, but at what cost? Not only losing Ragnar, but will his sister and the others follow Darrow?

I wish I had more time to listen today. It looks like Bill has totally jumped ahead of me despite starting after me..

Bill | 1596 comments Glad Darrow and Sevro fought it out. Was really worried with Sevro getting more and more out of control. When Darrow got the howlers to back him over Sevro I thiught it was going to end really badly.

The conference room brawl was entertaining but I was so nervous that someone was going to get killed. Really interesting turn on Quicksilver but like Rob said I still don't trust him.

So sad about Ragnar. I actually had to listen to something else for a bit after he died. It will be interesting to see how things go with Sefi without Ragnar there to help temper the Obsidians.

I can see so many of the secondary characters Mustang, Dancer and Quicksilver having their own agendas that I can't see things going smoothly once the sovereign is defeated.

Yeah. This exactly. I feel like a tragic ending is almost mandated, despite how much I may root against it.
