All I really remember is that there's a teen girl and I think her parents were divorced and she went to a beachy area to spend time with her dad and her stepmother. Don't think she liked them very much which is why she spends most of the book with other people. I think it's kind of road-trippy in some parts, but I don't know why.
The really important part of the book is that there was an asteroid on its way and it would totally wipe out Earth. I remember at the end everyone is looking at the sky watching it approach. Not a great book to be honest, but it bothers me that I can't remember the title for the life of me!
