Hi all! I own this one, so I am good to read this whenever, but I do have 2 buddy reads scheduled for later this week, and one on the 16th.
Checking in! I also already own it so I'm good whenever.
im good whenever, i already have it on ipod ready to go .... want to start Monday (tmrw) so you are done in time for your 2 other buddy reads? or... ? whenever is good for me...

OMG! This book is freaking hilarious! I can't put it down, I love it that much. Normally, the flip flopping PoV would annoy me greatly, but it works here. Annie is so easy to connect to, and Ronan...YUM! I don't own the second book, but I'm wanting to run out and get it!
I can't wait until you guys finish this! It was so EPIC! Total 5 stars! It was amazing!

hahaha ... im about 20% in...Very cute and funny! i'm liking it...hahaha i loved the article she wrote, bashing him and his style... spandex and toe-shoes...hahaha... and stuffing his pants with socks... i also loved their ensuing email banter/dissing back and forth...
So far, though, their chemistry between them in real life (as opposed the email banter) didn't strike me as super strong yet... i know the author is saying that it's there, i'm just not quite feeling it... i'm giving them more time :)

I think Ronan was too easy on his mother!! Why didn't the sister tell him exactly how psycho the mother is and exactly what she told poor Annie?!?!

And I agree, both characters were great and very likable!

And now, at about 75% , he had a heart-to-heart with his Mom and she was all martyr-like!! Like wtf?! She is being supported by her son and wastes his money mercilessly, so why is she all of a sudden worried that some chick will want him for his money?!? And the sister- seems nice enough and all, but she keeps buying her brother extravagant presents - ummmm WITH HIS OWN MONEY!!!

The mother was this special kind of hate...though wait till you get to the end!I think the sister is just goofy and trying to cheer him up more so than thinking of the money.
I have an hour to go! Arghhhh - got busy, had to stop!!! Hate that!!! Getting back to the last bit now!! Just wanted to comment on the first time they had sex (in the car), and he tied her up w seatbelts (not quite sure how that would work but whatever, not the point :) ) and kept repeating (in his head) how he needs to be in control and wants to everything to her while she can't touch him... Okkk, but isn't reciprocal touching in sex kinda the point?! I get that this could be a cool, kinky thing on occasion - but is this guy always like this?! Then he says:
"I had all the power and she had nothing" - ummm, I don't really like that he's totally getting off on this power trip thing - it's ok for bdsm novels, but this novel is a bit different- it's not exactly a dom/sub erotica..
Ok i probably read too much into all that from one sexy time :)

It's something he enjoys, but doesn't always need. There's a scene near the end of the book that demonstrates this.
ok, so she totally turned the tables on him with the whole SocialMedialite thing when their laptops got stolen.... She lied to him even more than he lied to her! She talked to him KNOWING who he was from the start and never came forward... HE found out accidentally! So I totally think she was the bigger liar there.... and had no right to say the things she did and not accept any of the blame...."if I never met you , this never would have happened" > she is being a cruel bitch, and I no longer have much sympathy left for her issues....
the mother redeemed herself a bit at the end... although I still don't understand how she could act the way she did initially?! I mean, I get it , you love your son, but WHO would actually say all that to her son's girlfriend! And treat her daughter so poorly ....
Annie also redeems herself at the end (in my own opinion) - she realized that she was acting like an idiot .... Hahaha , sorry girls, I'm just throwing my random thoughts at you ...

oh oh and I forgot to mention - I laughed out loud when his mom called herself a "cunt" , as well as when her boss to her not to be a "dick" ! hahahaha hilarious to hear a woman say that ...
I still sorta disliked mom despite the ending. Like you said, even if she said some harsh shit to Annie out of some misguided sense of protecting her son that still doesn't explain why she was so cruel to her own daughter. And I was furious with Annie's reaction when finding out he knew all along she was the blogger. Hypocrite much?
I actually loved the fact that the other blogger ended up being a man. That was a nice little twist.
Hahaha yes!!! The fact that the "love song" was a guy was so cute! I actually wish that the romance took that direction :):) That gave me an idea for a book , lol :)) too bad I'm not a writer :D
I'm working on my planning for next month: are we up for reading The Player and the Pixie in June? I don't own a copy of this one, so I need to see about purchasing it/getting a copy from the library.
