Thanks GR for giving members flash backs of high school ‘pick your team’, last one on the bench, nobody likes me type anxiety. Any other therapists can join my team to provide free psychotherapy for all the other members

There will be a thread to find a team (kind of like what we do with the Around the World challenge) so no need for anxiety I hope.

we don't like overlapping, so TT will be a bit later than I'd originally thought. We have a number of things in the pipeline and we wanted to try something a bit different first. Plus TT requires a lot of mod time (due to just the number of people who sign up) so it takes a bit of coordination on our side to make sure we are available / not in a crazy work time, on holidays etc.

Glad I'm not the only one with that anxiety! That was my first thought when I read the description, though I'm feeling a little more reassured now. Should be fun!

There are different categories depending on how many books your team reads over a two week period . This means that anyone can join and compete against similar levels of readers.
TEAM CATEGORIES
number of books read as a team in two weeks
Molten: up to 20 books
Crater: 21-40 books
Magma: 41-60 books
Volcano: 61+ books

Like with Upside Down & Right Side up we can pick how aggressively we want to read :)
My honeymoon at Disney falls during the end of this. But it might be doable for me. I just might have to end my part a few days early, depending on what dates are actually used. 2nd wedding for both of us so that's not an issue. We're just doing an indoor BBQ at our Elks lodge.
And I so get the HS anxiety flash backs as someone who was never chosen for anything and always just stuck somewhere. Sigh.

This looks interesting. The problem is that I’m moving to college for the first time the week the challenge starts. Plus, I’m a slow reader who might not finish a book in the week.

Well, I have an eighteen year old Macallan, and a 16 year old Lagavulin among others in my lovely liquor cabinet at the moment, and I am known to share.
Of course. There may be sniping across borders, but I always share my whiskey.
Not whiskey, but I picked up a bottle of a mango habanero vodka the other day. Holy crap is that stuff hot. Tasty but hot. Only thing is the bottle top isn't big enough to get the fermenting mango pieces out.
You know when you are not expecting food to be that spicy, and then you eat some and suddenly your mouth is on fire? That just happened to me at lunch. I am still recovering from that Thai curry.

Okay, so I was just looking at last year's Tower Teams, which is the only one I've missed since I started doing team challenges at the beginning of 2018, and... HOLY MOLY I AM SO SAD THAT I DID NOT PARTICIPATE.The HP-themed categories and such, I CANNOT EVEN.
I totally missed the last Tower Teams so I am so excited and thoroughly frightened!
So. It wasn't the lure of whiskey, it was the lure of books and madness and magic. Noted.(welcome to the weird and fun)
