Okay YA readers/Authors. I think we had a decent start to our monthly book club but it's time to start thinking about our next book. May's sub genre is FANTASY/SCI-FI!
This means any books that fall under the fantasy or sci fi category are free to be suggested!
If anyone has a any question about what qualifies for fantasy or sci-fi here are some examples:
Alanna The First Adventure (Song of the Lioness, #1) by Tamora Pierce
The Shadow Queen (Ravenspire, #1) by C.J. Redwine
Firstlife (Everlife, #1) by Gena Showalter
These first three are my suggestion for May, but here are some more examples to consider to help everyone understand. Please understand, these books BELOW will NOT be considered unless one of you adds your support to them, I just wanted to give everyone an understanding of what this genre includes :)
Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer
Six of Crows (Six of Crows, #1) by Leigh Bardugo
Tiger's Curse (The Tiger Saga, #1) by Colleen Houck
MILA 2.0 (MILA 2.0, #1) by Debra Driza
Waterfell (The Aquarathi, #1) by Amalie Howard
Talon (Talon, #1) by Julie Kagawa
I can't wait to see what you all come up with! This list will be open to suggestion until may 5th so add your suggestions quickly :)

Who wrote that one?

Gregory Henry (gmhenry) | 13 comments Here are some more YA Fantasy suggestions:
A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

I've not read these (obviously) so if they really fall under a different genre, I apologize.

I'll be happy with many of the books put forward.

What would really make me happy is finding ways to discuss our May book once we've read it a bit more thoroughly than we did in April with TDE. But hopefully that will simply improve with time.

Best wishes,
Greg

Amy | 3 comments I voted for Smoke and Bone because I had already read most of them. :-)

Cinder, is an incredible read. When you put it together with the whole series it is astounding!
