So I just finished You and really enjoyed it, but I can't get past the author's reference to Caroline's brother being in the cage. Joe talks about it when he puts Benji in there, but then it doesn't come up again. In the 2nd book, he mentions killing 4 people, none of which are Caroline's brother. It's driving me crazy. Did he kill him or not?!
Also, I wish the author hadn't changed Amy's eye color from book one to book two. What is the purpose of that??

Joe did not kill Candace's (the girlfriends name was not Caroline-no Caroline in the book) brother. Candace is whom he killed--(4 people he killed are: Candace, Benji, Peach, Beck) Joe mentions in You that he sees Candace's brother performing--remember Candace and her brother and sister were in a band together and then he talks about how he killed Candace--
and It is killing me that Amy has blue eyes in Hidden Bodies rather than chestnut colored eyes.. I wish Caroline Kepnes would reply on that one...

when I first read that I thought it was Candace's brother that was killed...but, then later Joe goes on and explains how he kills Candace and that he sees Candace's brother playing music.. so I thought i must have misread what the author intended..Does someone else have an opinion???

I'm glad someone else besides me is annoyed by the eye color change! Regarding Candace's brother - when Benji wakes up in the cage it says "He looks at me. He is puzzled. Can faces brother was also puzzled. The assholes are always puzzled."
