I'm going up the mountain until the 12th. I can use my iPhone and connect to my laptop. However, I don't know how good the reception is up there. I'll update future posts after that.Enjoy!
I had to change one of my books as I realized after the first few pages that it seemed a little to familiar, yep I had already read it! Anyhoo...I just finished it's replacement
★★★★★ Awesome read!
I need an opinion on a cover:
would this work for a "pop" of red on the cover? Or should I look for something else?
Brenda wrote: "I need an opinion on a cover:

Finished 3/6So far I've read:
5 Stars, Powerful crime thriller with deeply emotional issues that are worthy of discussion. Beware: Graphic violence. My review is HERE.
5 Stars. Loved the connection between this couple. An older Linda Howard romance with a fresh new cover. Gotta love it! My review is
HERE
.
4 Stars. Very enjoyable romantic suspense/modern day western. Would've easily been a five star read, but I felt it was a little rushed. My review is HERE.Three down, three to go! I hope everyone had a very blessed Mother's Day!

I stole this idea (with permission) from the SOS: Serious Overload of Series group.
Duration: May 1st through May 31st.
Rules: Choose at least two (2) of the three (3) options below. (Meaning a minimum of two books.) Color may be the predominant color of the book, or a “pop” of color that catches your eye. Themes are explained. Items may be found on the cover, or the word found within the story-line.
Please feel free to post your book covers, read dates, and star ratings.
You may join at any time during the month. Feel free to do all three, or even more, if you want.
Member Choosing: Sandra has been a HEAC member since April, 2013 and a GoodReads member since March, 2013. She enjoys reading a little of everything, but gravitates towards historical or romance. On her profile she tells us, “I have been happily married for 32 years. I work in a library in the genealogy and children's library sections. I love encouraging people of ALL ages to enjoy reading. I may or may not have a slight coffee addiction as well as being a serious hoarder of books. I have three wonderful children. My oldest daughter is a Children's Librarian. My son, who is stuck between two bossy sisters, is currently trying his hand at becoming a jack of all trades!! While my youngest daughter is studying to become a nurse. I really enjoy anything that includes my family, coffee and books!”
COLOR: Red (Sandra's favorite color) and Blue (sky & water).
MAY THEMES: (1) May is “Get Caught Reading Month”: {May} In honor of Sandra’s daughter who is a Children’s Librarian, read a book centered on a library or bookstore, the characters share a LOVE of reading, or anything to do with books and reading! (2) National Nurses Day: {May 6th} In honor of Sandra’s daughter, and many family members, who are nurses - and ALL of the hard working, often under-appreciated nurses in the world. Read a book with a character that is a nurse or nurses someone back to health. (3) Mother’s Day: {May 8th} Read a book about a mom or about a “soon-to-be-new-mom.” (4) Limerick Day: (May 12th) For Sandra’s son, the jokester, read a book of limericks, a humorous book or a book set in Ireland. (5) Armed Forces Day & Memorial Day: {May 21st & 30th} Read a book about someone in the military, about visiting National Memorials, or about honoring traditions such as wearing red poppies. (view spoiler)[[The tradition of wearing red poppies on Memorial Day was inspired by the 1915 poem “In Flanders Fields” by John McCrea. War worker Moina Michael made a personal pledge to always wear red silk poppies as an emblem of “keeping the faith with all who died,” and began a tradition that was adopted in the United States, England, France, Australia, and more than 50 other countries.] (hide spoiler)]
ITEMS: May’s birthstone is the Emerald. The flower is Lily of the Valley and Hawthorn. The bird is the nightingale. Books, stethoscope or any medical equipment, scrubs, bouquets, red poppy, castle, cake, balloons, gift, military uniform, flag, monuments, a garden or any garden decorations - such as a gnome!
