I finished this a couple of days ago for a BR in a different group. It is a wonderful book full of all the wit and charm Quinn is so renowned for. For those who want to know Billie Bridgerton is (view spoiler) --- very minor spoiler.

I'm going to join in on this one since I bought it and it's gathering e-dust on my kindle. My reading has been virtually nonexistent for months now but I'm trying to get back into it. Working graveyard shifts makes it harder to keep up with a specific reading timeline but I'll join in when I can.

Okay...finished this one yesterday on the drive down to my cousin's. Enjoyed it very much. Planning on doing some DQs. However, I'm on the way to my aunt's home up in the mountains. I can sign on to my laptop via my phone, but not sure of my reception up there.

I can do the first set of DQs... but probably not until Wednesday. ...if you want to wait. Sorry. Mothers' Day (cooked all day), phone reception, and traveling has messed me up.

Questions for Chapter 1-81. So Billie Bridgerton is Edmond’s oldest sister. I can’t get him and his tragic end out of my mind whenever he’s mentioned in the book. Can you?
2. What do you think of Billie so far, what do you think of the start of the romance? They seem to be the opposite of each other and not match socially (which is unexpected because of the close families ), does this make the start of attraction more believable or less? (view spoiler)
3. What do you think of George? Typical HR hero? One of his comments has stuck in my head ,it went something like this:
B:“do you want me on your back?”
G:”Believe me that’s not where I want to have you!”
My mind supplied me with “I want you underneath me” instead lol
4. I’m trying to sort out their ages. George is 27 , Billie is 23 , Mary is 23 , Andrew is 22 , Edward is 24. I don’t think I’m right though , George said he was 5 years older than his younger siblings. So ?
5. George is expecting Billie to marry Andrew and she’s always thought she would marry either Edward or Andrew. Which is weird since she doesn’t have a preference. Does George think that she’s attracted to his brother or is he just assuming? What I find more interesting was Andrew’s reaction to these 2 talking and murmuring. What so you think? Is he going to do some matchmaking or just the opposite?
6. What do you think of the era? Have you read many books in this era? It’s 1779 and according to Wikipedia the Georgian era , powdered hair and such ….
7. I’m a bit surprised by Billie’s relationship with her younger sister. In these sort of books siblings usually have a very good and close bond. What do you think?
8. The house party … what do you think will happen? Are they going realise they are attracted to each because of jealousy or are they going to pretend they like each other to fend off unwanted attention and fall in love in the process? It has to be one of these 2 , right?

Man-oh-man! I haven't been able to get GRs on my laptop for two nights. I was up in at 2 in the morning the other day to try and get on. No reception. I'm able to get on other sites though. Where they just down?Anyway. Off to answer ShoSho's DQs.

I thought of it a few times, but I haven’t dwelt on it. Mostly, when I think of him, I see him roaming his fields with his children on his back. Neat that he was such a great father. Bittersweet.
2. What do you think of Billie so far, what do you think of the start of the romance? They seem to be the opposite of each other and not match socially (which is unexpected because of the close families ), does this make the start of attraction more believable or less? [ I like her very much so far and I’m happy with the way the romance is progressing. Although they’ve known each other all their life there hasn’t been any attraction between them. (hide spoiler)]
Love the two of them togther. Neat that they were close because their families are close… but the age difference keeps them from feeling too much like brother and sister. I think the romance is very well done. It is a sloooooooow realization that they are attracted. Nice.

Yes, that sure got my attention…and Billy’s! LOL! I think of it as an involentary, subconscieous slip on his part. At that point, he doesn’t even realize he’s attacted to her.

I don’t think he’s sure of it. He probably thinks they is a possiblity, but he’s squashing any hints leaning that way. I think the younger brothers think they are attacted and a good match. Could be they try their hands at matchmaking.

Not my favorite era…men in high-heels and powered wigs. Glad George’s hair is described as unpowered. Thank the Dear Lord.

Okay, I'm going to stay another day up here at this beautiful lake; my aunt talked me into it and we're not done with the third puzzle we're working on. I do need to get home tomorrow, as my nephew's B-Day is Sunday and he wants an all vegan dinner. I'm going there, so I won't be home long.So...which set of DQs am I doing? The next or the last?
