SOLVED. The girl's name is significant and she was molested when younger [s]

I read this book when I was in middle school and I'm pretty sure it's fiction. It's about a girl who was molested by her father or step father (I can't remember) when he was drunk, but before he could go any further than caressing her, she screamed and her mother came upstairs and then he stopped. then it forwards to her current age, I think she's about 17 or 18 because she then wants to run away from home because of her mothers neglect towards her. She goes to her friend that works at a library and tell hims she's leaving the town. He goes with her and then stuff happens and she ends up working at a taco truck. I'm sorry if this is confusing XD I remember her name was significant and I think her hair was an unnatural red. I think her mother ends up following her and then the books ends with her on a roof top with a bunch of people having a party (not sure.) If this made sense to anyone please help me find this book it's driving me crazy trying to think of it >.<
