Clwseattle | 91 comments Hello, When I made the Shelfari migration over to Goodreads there was a pretty large discrepancy in the number of books I read and the total pages. Since then I have been in contact with Claire L., Goodreads support who, at one point was able to add a correct edition of a book to reflect the pages that were completely missing from the Goodreads offered editions. Also, I found some of my editions were as audio, and I never listen to books and others were eBooks which I use very rarely. I think that was a failure of Shelfari and the way we chose our editions. Occasionally a ISBN or title will come up marked as read, but even so that edition is not available to mark as the edition I read.

I mentioned to Claire that as I checked all my books I would keep a list of which books were without pages or were clearly the wrong edition, that is published AFTER I know I read them. (Yes, I keep a running book journal by author, title, published year and when I read the book!) Claire suggested “adding the direct links to the book pages (instead of the ISBN or ASIN). That would make it easier for our librarians to add the page numbers. You might want to check with WorldCat as well for the correct pages, as we generally follow how they count pages for books.”

I used WorldCat but I also searched/researched:
Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/
FictionDB - http://www.fictiondb.com/
Barnes and Noble - - http://www.barnesandnoble.com/
King County Library System - http://www.kcls.org/ which is where I get about 99.5% of the books I read.
Some on the list have two sources and still some have sources that do NOT provide the number of pages. I sincerely hope you will be able to update Goodreads with these editions.

So for this one https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5... I read it in 2003 and there is no edition listed for then and of course it would have been impossible to read a 2008 editon then!
