Yes, go us! We have activated our Scott powers, all others beware 2 down: Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets - David Simon and Split the Party - Drew Hayes
Two wildly different books but each enjoyable in their own ways. Not a big non-fiction person but Homicide was a crazy interesting read, so cool getting to see inside that kind of life. Totally foreign to my day to day
Yahoo, two more down. Did a reread of Ready Player One randomly because I got the urge. Love that book so much, just a whole lot of fun. Magic Rises was probably the best of the Kate Daniels books so far; series continues to be one my favorite UF. So much snark and action and magic, good times!

No, I like you as Jenna :(
got my ABCs done with Wake of Vultures by Lila Bowen I enjoyed it but never really loved it. Had an interesting premise with an entertaining and interesting main character, but I just was never completely hooked.
The Builders by Daniel Polansky gets my P spot. Loved this so much, great story of revenge. Had the perfect combination of violence, double crosses, and dark humor. Excited to read more from this gentleman

I loved the imagery.
I loved the imagery.

Had the perfect combination of violence, double crosses, and dark humor...."This may be crude, but I'm not joking that when I read your post at first I thought it was a reference to some male version of the G spot.
That said though, I also can't wait to read it. Got my copy sitting by my bed at home.
Hehe, P spot. Didn't even realize it could be taken that way :DHighly recommend that novella, though. I'd definitely read more set in that world
Read Going Dark by Linda Nagata for my N. Loved this series, but, sadly, the last book was kind of a letdown. And got my W done with The Forbidden Library by Django Wexler, which I really enjoyed. Thought it was a fun world, with a cool magic system, and an engaging main character.
Also read a few other books but am doubling up on letters haha
Broken Blade by Kelly McCullough was a pretty engaging first book in a fantasy series. I'm glad I read it and look forward to future books from himDescender, Vol 1: Tin Stars by Jeff Lemire was a really warm, heartfelt graphic novel. Robots and spaceships and aliens!
Finished United States of Japan by Peter Tieryas and I enjoyed it. It wasn't amazing, or mind blowing, but I had a good time with it. Fast moving, cool story. Characters fell a little flat but the end was excellent
Helen wrote: "Doing well."more than halfway there!
Finished Dancer's Lament by Ian C. Esslemont for my 'E." Loved it
Scott wrote: "You're up on me by two. Erickson is slowing me down!"haha! He did the same to me last year with my total books read goal. Totally worth it, though

MOI is taking me so long to get through - it's great, but it's definitely slowing me down too. I did read a lot of shorter books earlier in the year as well as school books, but my A-Z challenge is at a standstill.
There's so much I want to read that I'm not going to stick to my AZ just to get it done. I'm trying to knock off a letter or two per month to get it done inside of a year which won't be until the middle of April and I'm halfway home. I took out G and Y in June and will also finish off U before the month is out so I guess it's not that bad. July will be Wexler and W and then we'll see.
Jenna MOI is just a beast. I thought I read it pretty quickly and it still took me 13 days.........but oh my those last 200 pages......

Wexler might be my W as well - still thinking about it.
