Mecha Samurai Empire Is One of Financial Times' Best Books of 2018

Mecha

While Mecha Samurai Empire has made some incredible "best of" lists this year, this one from the Financial Times as one of the best books of 2018 really blew my mind. I'm a big fan of the FT and its international reach is incredible so I'm super honored to say the least! Read more of this blog post »

Alejandra Urueña
Alejandra Urueña is on page 200 of 448 of El imperio Mecha Samurái: La melancolía presente en este libro es apabullante, no esperaba encontrar tanta crudeza. Con un ambiente netamente político, refleja a la perfección la crítica social que el autor nos quería compartir, con un personaje endeble y débil en muchos aspectos, Peter nos entrega la cruda realidad de la guerra y de las naciones.

“What disturbs and depresses young people is the hunt for happiness on the firm assumption that it must be met with in life. From this arises constantly deluded hope and so also dissatisfaction. Deceptive images of a vague happiness hover before us in our dreams, and we search in vain for their original. Much would have been gained if, through timely advice and instruction, young people could have had eradicated from their minds the erroneous notion that the world has a great deal to offer them.”
Arthur Schopenhauer

“Books are not made to be believed, but to be subjected to inquiry. When we consider a book, we mustn't ask ourselves what it says but what it means...”
Umberto Eco, The Name of the Rose

“A good poem is a contribution to reality. The world is never the same once a good poem has been added to it. A good poem helps to change the shape of the universe, helps to extend everyone's knowledge of himself and the world around him.”
Dylan Thomas

“The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.”
Douglas Adams, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

Charles Dickens
