Yes! Oh my gosh thank you so much! I've been trying to remember the name of that book for years and I couldn't find it again! You have actually made my day, I've been trying to figure this out for three years!

**SPOILERS**
It started with this young women (I think she was between 18-21) coming to work with this rich family, she was shocked because she was never really well off and didn't think she was the best for something like this, but she was thrilled. She believed she would be helping the family take care of the little baby boy but instead she ends up solely looking after the young girl. The book goes on and she eventually find out that the wife of the father in the family was killed in a care accident and he ended up marrying their nanny (who now is the mother of the little boy) the young girl was the child of the father and his first wife. The book continues and the young girl gets in a few close calls with her life (at one point she almost drowns in the swimming pool only to be saved by the nanny) The nanny ends up finding out that the stepmother of the girl (their previous nanny) had pulled the breaks out of the husbands first wives car in an attempt to kill the mother and her child (the young girl). The mother died and the young girl lived. She had hired the nanny intentionally because she was unqualified, in an attempt to "accidently" kill the young girl in order to have a family only with the husband. During all this there was a boy next door who she was falling in love with. I don't really remember how much he fit into the story but I think I remember he helped the nanny find out the truth about the original nanny.
Here is a family tree of sorts just so you can be aided in keeping characters straight (I don't remember the names of any of them)
