Chel and Em

Isaac grinned hugely at Issy's praise. "Fanks mumma!" He said happily. He watched her get his juice out with wide eyes curiosity.

She smiled as she watched him, letting him have his juice wen she walked over

Isaac took his juice and took a big drink of it before going back to eating. "Where's Pip?" He asked after a couple of minutes.

She looked at him again, smiling "she's sleeping." She said, happy that he was asking about her "you like pip?"

Isaac nodded. "Is she tired?" He asked and then smiled at Issy. "Ah huh." He told her in reply to her question.

She nodded also "yes she is tired." She said and smiled "it's good you like her."

Isaac nodded again. "Why is it good?" He asked her as he finally finished eating. He carefully lifted his juice and slowly drank it.

She looked at him once again, smiling slightly. "It just is baby." Se said, watching him to make sure he didn't spill the juice

Isaac gave a nod. "I'm not a baby." He protested when he realised she had called him that.

She smiled again. "I know you're not." Se said taking away his plate

"Then why did you call me a baby?" Isaac asked and put down his empty juice cup.

She giggled "because you will always be one of my babies." She said

Isaac frowned. "That don't make sense mumma!" He told her and put his hands on his head.

She giggled and picked him up. "Never you mind." She said

Isaac wrapped his arms around Issy's neck and put his legs around her as much as he could. "Why mumma?" He asked her and smiled adorably.

She smiled as she held him an took him to the lounge room. "Because mummy said so." She told him

Isaac sighed but didn't ask any further questions. He put his head on her shoulder and started to play with her hair, something he had done since he was a baby when he was starting to get sleepy.

She looked at him again "it's you're nap time." She said taking him to the bedroom.

Isaac frowned. "Noooo mumma! I don't wanna nap." He protested and started to wriggle about in her arms.

She held him gently but tightly. "Isaac you need to nap." She said

Isaac clung to Issy. "I want to stay with you mumma." He whined. "I no want you to go again." He had spent the last couple of days without his mom while Piper was born and though he had really missed his dad he had also missed Issy.

She looked at him again, sighing just a little. "Ok how about we sit on the couch together?" She asked. "Will you nap if were on the couch?"

Isaac, who looked like he was on the brink of tears, gave a nod. "Ah huh." He said and then hugged Issy even tighter, as if he was afraid she would disappear if he let go of her.

She smiled witth a soft laugh and looked at him again. "Ok honey." She said and went back to the lounge and sat with him. "Rest."

Isaac nodded and then crawled into Issy's lap. He leaned against her tummy and then closed his eyes, his small hand gripping her shirt so she wouldn't leave him.

She smiled as she watched him, letting him rest on her as she sat down

Isaac fell asleep within minutes of curling into Issy. He started to talk in his sleep, just random nonsense.

She put a soft blanket around him as he slept and she relaxed back, closing her eyes also.

Jamie walked down the stairs and sat next to Issy. "Thanks for getting his lunch babe. I thought I could manage it but obviously not." He said softly and kissed her cheek.

She smiled as she looked at him, letting him sit beside her "it's ok, I know you couldn't." She said "and I prefer you didn't."

Jamie gave Issy a sheepish smile. "You know me babe, I'm stubborn and I think I'm invincible." He leaned over and kissed her cheek.

She smiled again happily and kissed his cheek. "I know you are." She said "you're very stubborn."

"How's he doing?" Jamie asked and looked at Isaac in her lap.

She smiled as she looked at Isaac "I think so." She said "she doesn't want to leave my side."

Jamie smiled and then carefully pulled the blanket back over Isaac after it fell. "He'll probably be clingy for a while. Especially when we're both busy with Pip."

She nodded slightly "I know.. I feel bad." She said to him

Jamie frowned slightly. "Why do you feel bad baby?" He asked her and looked over at her.

She shrugged "I just.. I don't want him to feel upset when we have to be with Pip." She said

Jamie nodded in understanding. "We're just going to have to balance our time between them both." He said, making it sound easy.

Issy smiled slightly and nodded "I hope so." She said to him and smiled again a little

Jamie nodded and kissed the top of her head. "We'll figure it out." He reassured her softly. "How are you doing?" He asked and put his arm around her shoulder.

She smiled a little and relaxed against him. "I'm ok." She said "just glad to have you home." She said

Jamie smiled. "I'm glad to be home." He told her and started playing with her hair. "Are you sure you're okay? I mean you had a baby Is, that's not easy stuff." He didn't doubt her ability to cope with everything they were dealing with right then he just worried about her a lot.

She looked at him "I'm just glad to have you back.@ she said "but it was hard."

Jamie would forever regret not being there for Issy while she gave birth to their daughter. "Who was with you?" He asked softly.

She smiled again at him. "My mum, you're mum." She said

Jammie gave a nod. "At least they knew what you were going through." He commented softly and smiled a little.

She smiled again looking at him. "I know, they were very good."
She looked at him as she went and got him a drink. "You're doig good." She said
