Which is the right spelling for this author?

I was looking for a book and found two profiles for the same author. I didn't merge or change anything because I don't know which has the right spelling.

Harder to say here - are they definitely the same author? Without seeing a list of his works I couldn't be certain whether they are just two authors with the same name.

There is also a Cyrillic profile, here: Дмитрий Данилов.

We don't merge profiles in different languages. If any works have been translated into English, the name given on those becomes the primary profile and should be the first author on all editions of all books. The Library of Congress generally has a canonical English name but is hard to use if you are unfamiliar with it - but as a shortcut it is generally the name Wikipedia will use if the author has an English page, so start there.

Sorry, posted that from my tablet, but wanted to follow up from my PC where I can actually look at things better.

Most of the books on the second profile in #1 should have the name in Cyrillic, since that's what's on the cover. The dutch translations of the fiction author's work have Dimitri on the covers, so that needs to stay too.

He's not famous enough to have a Wikipedia page, apparently, but http://readrussia.org/events/details/... (and most other English language sources) for instance use Dmitry Danilov, and that book (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...) seems to be the only one actually published in English.

I would use that name (Dmitry Danilov) as primary author on all the books. The dutch books would then have Dmitri Danilov as second author, the Russian books Дмитрий Данилов, and then all three profiles get links to each other in the bio space.

The books about batteries may be another author, but since his bio includes mention of previous corporate writing, it's a bit hard to tell (there is, however, another Dmitry Danilov, spelled the same, who lives in Sweden, and a third who is an EU politician, so it's entirely possible this is in fact a different author to the rest of the books.)

Both profiles should be kept. "Dmitri" is the Dutch spelling, "Dmitry" the English spelling.
I have added "Dmitry" as primary author for the Dutch and Russian books, and combined the Dutch and Russian editions. Also added him as contributor to "Rasskazy".

The only book that might be from another Dmitry could be the Battery Management book.
