Time to revisit one of the toughest of tough guy private eyes, Matt Scudder. How about 8 Million Ways to Die?
(Don't be prejudiced against it by the awful Oliver Stone movie adaptation. With the locale switched from New York to Los Angeles, it should have been retitled "3.5 Million Ways to Die"--and that was only the first problem!

I bought it and will vote for it.

Sorry Patrick, one of our few 'rules' is that authors don't nominate their own books. Please feel free to promote in the Author's section. Thanks.

Check the first post please, Shameel. We've read this before.

Sorry, Autumn, please save this one when we do authors whose last name starts with 'C'.. :0)

Great minds.. :0)

I'm always looking for new authors. This one is a new thriller about a political conspiracy to steal our votes. Based in Washington DC, it seems timely with all the mess going on in the election and I love how it opens. It reminds me of the old Clancy books but updated with more action and a touch of sex to keep things interesting. Lots of twists too. It has great reviews on Amazon.

Which one would you prefer, Annette? Just one please.

Creepy spam

I don't know her, Joann. Maybe you could pick one of her suspense novels?

Actually, it was written on the funny side of things. And a tad on the promotional side. The book I mention is just out, I do not expect to get nominated with a week old book!

It's now April; out of the 2+ dozen books I have read since January, this is THE BEST ADVENTURE book of the lot. If you haven't read it yet, WHY ARE YOU WAITING????

The other book was

Thanks for your nominations and votes. I hope you enjoy the books. I'll set the threads up today or tomorrow.

You can choose one or both, whatever you'd like.

Avoid nominating these books, please. You can nominate others by these authors, just follow the 'recommendations' below when nominating books.
A word or two about nominations and voting:
1. As has been the case for as long as I can remember, if your nomination wins the poll vote, you will be the discussion leader. Do NOT nominate a book if you do not wish to be the moderator.
2. When a book gets to the poll, please please please do not vote on it if you have no intention of reading it. This February / March selections are a good example of why -- very few people who voted actually showed up for the discussions. That is extremely unfair to the people who voted for the next two books on the poll. Bottom line: If you don't want to read it, don't nominate or vote for it.
3. This is not the place for authors to promote their own work.
4. If the book is in a series, it might be wise to start with book #1 rather than somewhere mid-series.
Good luck. I'm looking forward to seeing what gets nominated.
