Ohhh I need to reread the Kel books!

Any thoughts from those who read it?"
I had mixed feelings about that one. I think maybe I set my hopes too high because there was so much hype when it first came out. :P So, I liked it, but I wasn't crazy about it. The format is interesting, but it gave me a bit of a headache. And on top of that, I found the pacing kind of weird and didn't find either of the main characters very interesting. The last 200-ish pages are really exciting, though!

I listened to this one on audio. I was not as in love with it as some others but it was a decent read.

It was a pretty great book, VERY intense and suspenseful. Are you reading the ebook or paperback? I highly recommend the paperback or hardback if you can get your hands on it, really enhances the experience because of the unique way this book is structured/written :) ENJOY!

Ditto on reading it in print! It's so much more than a book that way.

Mine too :) I can't wait for her next book!

Jenny, my book club is reading Me before You. I am glad to hear you liked it. I have heard good things.

Thank you, Heidi! It was sooo much fun!!! :D

I know what you mean, Heidi; I am the same way. This one was fun, I think, because it was our 45th and most of us are starting to realize how time flies! Also it was SUPER casual-jeans! Yay! ;)

I really enjoyed

Finished:
It was okay, over all. I liked the dark version of Oz, and towards the end it got more exciting. I just wasn't a big fan of the writing, and didn't really connect with any of the characters. Plus I felt like it relied on too many tropes. It did have kind of a cliffhanger ending though, so I'm debating over whether or not I should give the second book a try.
Next I am reading our group read:
Yay!
Oh and I'm still re-reading

Finished...
I enjoyed it, but didn't love it as much as the reviews I've seen. Its interesting enough for me to want to continue on to the series. Kady irritated me in the beginning tho!

It's a cute story for young readers. It's actually really fun.

I felt the same way about Illuminae. The only character I connected with was the computer!

Omg same here, Heidi. AIDAN was by far my favorite character and it wasn't even a person. :D
Bluemoon, I love Lumberjanes! My younger siblings introduced me to those books and they are so cute and hilarious. :)

After that, I moved onto

Finally, I read

After getting past brunet, gage and canvass, I was left with a ridiculous backstory of how slayers were created. Throw in an honest-to-goodness love triangle and the mention of hot, muscular men, and you've got yourself a doozy--or you know, a typical YA read. All that being said, it was still an entertaining read, and the action picked up a lot at the end.
Elora so happy you loved RPO. I skipped All Fall Down after being warned away by some of my GR friends reviews - sad because I love Heist Society too.

How was her Gallagher Girls series? Have you read it?

How was her..."
I've read the first book and I liked it, although not as much as Heist Society :)
I agree, Heist society is defently her better series.
gg was good but not great.
embassy row,eehhh.. might read book 2 and 3 but am in no hurry.

I enjoy a nice easy read from time to time, but I'm really picky :/

being picky is good, thats means you appriciate great stories and prioritize them. I dnf-books all the time, I dont have time for bad books. Also its fun to reread sometimes.

Yes, GG is better than Embassy Row, although I've only read the first book.
I also read the first GG book and thought it was decent - it was definitely more middle grade due to their ages than Heist Society but a nice light read all in all. p.s. I am also super picky Elora

safe to say I'm on a historical fiction kick, although Rifka is a quick read -- if I had started before 9pm I would've finished it in one sitting yesterday.

So far, so good. Nice to have only one POV after the Heroes of Olympus."
Yay! I really liked that book. And I agree, it was nice to have just one point of view again. I also think I prefer Rick's first-person writing over his third-person writing.

Can't wait to read your spoiler, Jenny! ;)
I was finally able to read anf finish...
I don't know, I guess I'm one of the few who just doesnt love this series. I mean its good, but not amazing like everyone says it is.
Anyways, since I'm not reading this month's hidden gem, decided to start on...
Audio is actually quite nice. Enjoying it, but I think it's a little bit too long.

I think the audio of Lunar Chronicles and Thorne are what I made me love the series :)

So excited to see your thoughts on Monstrumologist. It is one of my all time favorite series. Book two is phenomenal.

@Elora - I'm so happy you're reading The Monstrumologist! Haha yeah, it is very scary indeed. I recommend not reading it before bed or while you're eating (two mistakes I made when I was reading it, lol). ;) I agree with Heidi––it's also one of my favorite series, and the second book is also my favorite of them I think. I need to re-read them!

Also finished

Next I'm reading

Thank you for the warning, as I was going to read it tonight over dessert before I went to bed. I'll pick something else up instead! :)
