Just finished...
The third and final book in the Precious Stone Trilogy. These books actually had potential with its synopsis. I enjoyed the first book, but the second and third was a disappointment.

That's a bummer, Bluemoon––it's always so disappointing when a series starts off good and then goes downhill. :(
Well, yesterday I finished:
It was such a fun read, and personally I think it's better than the past couple Rick Riordan books. I'll definitely be continuing with this series! (Of course now I have to wait for the next book ... boooo.)
And now I have (just barely) started:

Great news, Brigid! I still haven't gotten back to Magnus Chase, unfortunately. And EEEEEEEEEEEEEP I hope you love Undivided!

@Ashley - I liked Magnus Chase more than I thought I would, but it's not my favorite of his books. I thought The Hidden Oracle was much stronger over all––better characters, plot, humor, etc. And of course I am always happy to be reunited with all the PJO/HoO characters. :D
@Heidi - Yes, I'll definitely let you know my thoughts when I finish it!

Aggh yes, that book is pretty soul-crushing. I remember really liking it, but it's been a long time since I read it. I should probably read it again ... I've also never seen the movie, which I've heard is good.

So I finished UnDivided and HOLY COWWW it was amazing. I'm just ... speechless. Neal Shusterman sure knows how to mess with my emotions. Uggh.

I was not a fan of the movie but then again I really don't like Keira K.
I was not a fan of the movie but then again I really don't like Keira K.

For example, I'm only just now coming around to Matthew McConaughey... or Matthew McCoughFace as I like to call him xD
Ha! I like Matthew but I could see why someone else wouldn't because he has a certain style. He was really good on SNL recently - which surprised me.

I thought the movie was amazing. (I haven't read the book, though, so I don't know how that might have affected what I thought.) it was so SAD! :(

Yes, we do all have actors we don't like. And it makes a difference!
Luckily she is one of the only actors that I am not a fan of - I like most of them :) Whenever I see Keira in a part I always think that Natalie Portman would have been a better choice. hahaha
Jenny reminded me of the yearly summer free audiobook offerings from Sync - here is the link http://www.audiobooksync.com/
Great program!
Great program!

Funnily enough, Keira played the decoy version of Natalie Portman's character in Star Wars Episode 1.

Yeah. They look somewhat similar - that is why I think of Natalie because she is a wonderful actress IMO.

When I finish at least one of these books, I'm going to FINALLY finish

I'm still reading

Haha Jenny this was me with Watership Down! Doc found it two or three days before I finished it and I SCREECHED at him that we couldn't watch it yet xD

You have a lot of books going with Game of Thrones! That book alone was pretty lengthy for me. I only read the first one though since everyone seems to have a love/hate relationship with that series due to all the deaths.

I liked the Martian but everyone else seems to simply love it. Not sure why I didn't feel that same intense connection with it. I think it was due to the fact that I am character driven and felt like we only got to know the characters on the surface, It did have a lot of funny moments and was worth the read - just not what I was expecting.

I have that on audio, but still haven't had a chance to read/listen. Everyone I know raves about it. Are you having trouble getting through it or just don't have time?
As for me, my reading list is not exciting. I didn't get a chance to start

Oh! But off topic, the girls (aka my husband, since the girls are 3 and 1) got me a Kindle Paperwhite for Mother's Day. I'm in love. Soooo much has changed since I last bought a Kindle 6 months ago. The screen is amazing and I LOVE that I can create folders of book collections so I don't have a thousand titles to sift through when looking for something. This is seriously fantastic :).

Awww, now I'm nervous about reading it. I'm the same with characters.
Yay Kristen! I have an original Kindle that is never used and try to use my Kindle paperwhite each night (I am a print fan in general but have made an effort to read the kindle nightly)
I am nearly done with I'll Give You the Sun
and really like it so far except for a bit of insta-love which I am not a fan of normally. I hope she doesn't blow the ending!

LOL!! I did the same thing to hubby, he wanted to watch it a few months ago, and I'm like-- NOOOOOO!!! I have to read the book first!!! :P

I am a print fan too, but I'm slowly moving to e-print only. I have no space! I swear half my garage is boxes of books. I'm too attached to get rid of them, but they aren't doing much good packed away. I need a library. You know, like the one in Beauty and the Beast :D.

Same thing again with Atonement - he saw it sitting on the mantle and was like "....is this ours?" Yes. "Why don't we watch it?" I put it out so I'd remember to watch wHEN I FINISH THE BOOK.
Still haven't gotten to it yet bc of library movies -- we watched Straight Outta Compton last night, then I've got Creed and Ex Machina (and possibly Ant-Man) lined up next. And we need to have a Hunger Games marathon soon too xD

I definitely have to hear what you think when you're through. I assume you have read the book :)

YAYYYYY I thought you would like it :) EPIC

I don't have a problem with you disliking Keira on a personal level, but it's gonna be real awkward when she and I are married and I kind of have to defend her.
Especially over Natalie Portman. She and I kind of had a thing back when Star Wars I came out.
...dreams are better than life.

Oh my gosh Tommy! I had no idea I was insulting your future wife. Please forgive me! I hope you two have a wonderful life together :) hahaha

I think I may get this in audio, Julia Whelan narrates it :) I'm excited to read it though!

We missed you Tommy!!! Good luck with the move!

HAHAHA!!!
