Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1572 comments I recently finished:

Stay with Me (Wait for You, #3) by J. Lynn and I think this is my favorite of the series so far. 4 stars

The Proposal (Wait for You, #2.5) by J. Lynn which was such a sweet short story! 4 stars

Kissing in Italian (Flirting in Italian, #2) by Lauren Henderson 3.5 stars. I liked the conclusion to this one

Next I'm reading Geekerella by Ashley Poston and rereading A Wrinkle in Time (A Wrinkle in Time Quintet, #1) by Madeleine L'Engle

Finished...
The Sword of Summer (Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, #1) by Rick Riordan
I wasn't planning on reading this trilogy, but heard a lot of good things about it. I actually liked it, but then again I enjoy Riordan's books.

Started...
The Hammer of Thor (Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, #2) by Rick Riordan

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1572 comments I just haven't read that much this last week!

I did finished Geekerella by Ashley Poston solid 4 star read, so cute! And a great book about fandoms in general :)

Also finished my reread of A Wrinkle in Time (A Wrinkle in Time Quintet, #1) by Madeleine L'Engle 5 stars, I just adore this story (the whole quintet is awesome, it gets so much better with each book!)

Haven't started anything new yet, but I'm doing another readathon this weekend. I hope to work some more on Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon and also hoping to read Alex and Eliza (Alex & Eliza, #1) by Melissa de la Cruz The Magicians (The Magicians #1) by Lev Grossman Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng

Hehe,
It happens I once started a book and got half way before I realised I read it before. I had COMPLETELY forgot about it, it was just a meeh book.

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1572 comments I finished Alex and Eliza (Alex & Eliza, #1) by Melissa de la Cruz 4 stars, it was a fun fictional read about a historical couple

Finished The Magicians (The Magicians #1) by Lev Grossman 3 stars I wish I could have liked this one more, but its just wasn't my thing sadly. The first half was pretty good, but it went downhill in the 2nd half.

Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng 4.5 stars, loved this, it was so good! So happy I'm meeting the author this weekend :)

Next I'm reading Wicked Lovely (Wicked Lovely, #1) by Melissa Marr and Labyrinth Lost (Brooklyn Brujas, #1) by Zoraida Córdova

You will like Wicked Lovely. I read it several years ago, and yeah it has its issues, but it is worth picking up.

message 1318: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie I just finished the final Narnia book over the weekend -- I found it a really disappointing ending for a pretty solid series.

In brighter news, I'm enjoying The Fifth Season (The Broken Earth, #1) by N.K. Jemisin Murder of Crows (The Others, #2) by Anne Bishop

Furthermore is definitely an interesting read. I rated it a 4 star read once I was done, just because of its pacing, but otherwise I enjoyed it. I bought Heart of Iron because I had read Geekerella last year and loved it.

Caitlin Mcnamee (alanna-sama) | 51 comments I just finished Carve the Mark (Carve the Mark, #1) by Veronica Roth , am now reading the sequel The Fates Divide (Carve the Mark, #2) by Veronica Roth . The first book in the duology is amazing, and am thinking I am in a roller coaster ride for the sequel.

message 1341: by Caitlin (new)

Caitlin Mcnamee (alanna-sama) | 51 comments I'm still reading The Fates Divide (Carve the Mark, #2) by Veronica Roth , but I am also reading A Court of Frost and Starlight (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #3.1) by Sarah J. Maas .

Elora Mitchell | 578 comments I just finished To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo and really liked it. Sirens, pirates and witty banter.
Still plugging through Dread Nation (Dread Nation, #1) by Justina Ireland I like it, but I stopped not just at the end of a chapter, but also the end of a part, and I'm having a hard time getting myself back into it.

message 1349: by Elora (new)

Elora Mitchell | 578 comments And I finally saw Ready Player One and really liked it.

And I'm happy to say that I FINALLY saw Black Panther. I just couldn't get the time to go see it in the theatre, but was able to snag a copy for myself. And oh. my. gosh. It is a gorgeous piece of work. The storyline is tight; the pacing impeccable. Forget the rest of the Avengers, I want more Wakanda. ;)
Now if only I could love comic books and graphic novels as much as I love books.....

message 1350: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie No worries Elora, after Black Panther I immediately picked up a comic book and had to put it down because it lost me as soon as it started. I need to find a solid origin story so I have a foundation and I hate when writers start a comic series without some kind of beginning.

PS: BOTH THOSE MOVIES ARE SO GOOD <33

Re: Dread Nation, (view spoiler) It didn't bore me, but it was very different from what I'd read up to that point, but after a few chapters I was right back into not-putting-it-down mode.
