which I'm super excited about!
I'm reading The Lord of the Rings!! or trying to. I didn't add it to my currently reading cuz I don't know if I'll read it completely or dnf it. Also there's a lot of Hobbit talk going on in this, should I read that first?

I just finished

@Caitlin. I've been seeing that as a kindle deal but haven't been able to bring myself to buy it. Glad to hear it's good.
Elora wrote: "@Caitlin. I've been seeing that as a kindle deal but haven't been able to bring myself to buy it. Glad to hear it's good."I am not that far into the book, but it does not take long for it to get into the plot, which is what I enjoy in a book.
JENNY: Just picked up Passenger. So far so good. Not that far into it, but enjoying it.
VIDYA: You don't necessarily need to read The Hobbit to understand LOTR, but it doesn't hurt either. You get to understand how Bilbo acquired the ring. I haven't read the whole of LOTR too, but it I heard it takes awhile to get into the book, especially the first one.

Sorry for disappearing again. :P I've still been in a bit of a reading slump, but right now I'm making my way through:
Which is really lovely!
I also am about halfway through:
I'd never heard of this one before; I bought it used at the library about a year ago and never got around to reading it until now. But so far, it's really cool! Kind of surreal/bizarre but that's something I personally enjoy, lol.
Uhhh and I also started reading this manga series, My Hero Academia, which is great so far! I've read the first two volumes:
And I'm working on the third one. ;)

Saw that they're available on Overdrive so thought I should check it out. I recently read the companion graphic novel of Marissa Meyer, Wires and Nerve, centering on the story of Iko. Really enjoyed it and been wanting to read more graphic novels. So might as well try a story I previously enjoyed.

I'm looking forward to finishing it. I bought it the day it came out, because I also bought my father's birthday gift that day, because both were released on the 12th, and am hoping that it was well worth the read. I've heard great things about it as well.
Heidi (Yup. Still here.) wrote: "Jenny I own Second Chance Summer on audio - guess I need to get to it soon!"I hope you like it Heidi! It was a tearjerker for sure!
Oh gosh I haven't posted here in forever. Sorry friends!I've gotten back to the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl comics, which are fantastic and all sorts of empowering and uplifting if you need a quick shot of something funny and positive.
Also reading Jean Craighead George's final book, ICE WHALE. I adored the Julie of the Wolves trilogy as a kid (I can't tell you how many times I've read those) and I just found out about this one a few years ago.
CAITLIN: Just finished reading Warcross, and I really enjoyed it. That ending tho....!
Also finished read...
A great thriller for October!
Currently Reading...
Literally just started so no opinions yet. It's the 13th book in the series, her books tend to be similar to each other, but still enjoyable.
I'm doing a mini binge read cause I need to make up for lost times!

Hi Ashley *waves*
My reading progress for 2017 has been atr
ocious so my plan is to step up my game in 2018. Right now all I am reading is cozies. I am listening to Wouldn't It Be Deadly - as a My Fair Lady fan this is a little weird for me but I am reserving judgement until the end. I am also reading Murder Boogies with Elvis
. It is the last book in the series before the author died :(

Is she part of the Marvel universe? I've never heard of her, but my kids were complaining about her in their video game today. 😂

The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #1
She's part of the Marvel universe, yes. She originally debuted in 1992 (I think?) and I think she's gone through a few iterations since. Tony Stark is basically her idol and it's perfect. This series is her first standalone comic series (and actually the first time I've ever read her at all) and I'm so in love. She's empowering and hilarious and kicks butt. Also SQUIRRELS <3
