Sorry that it's been so long since I've been on. I didn't realize that soccer season would be such a time sucker. Here's to hoping that I have more reading time soon.

I loved book one and hope to get to book two soon

Finished my reread of
, loved it.Also finished
which I loved. This was my first time reading Ellen Hopkins, and I will definitely be reading more of her books in the future. I love the way she wrote this. The verse was unforgiving and straight to the point, but still beautiful. A sad, scary, and amazing read!Next I'm reading
and rereading
My SO just started reading Miss Peregrine yesterday. Probably only 10 pages in but he likes it so far and he's already found a few differences between book/movie :D
I finished
which was a fun little mystery, and my reread of
, which I loved!I did really, really well for my readathons last week! Doing 2 at the same time was interesting!
For the #AYearathon readathon, I finished 4 books with a total of 1,424 pages!
For the #Frightfall readathon, I finished 5 books with a total of 1,748 pages! My total page count for the week was 3,172! YAY! I had fun with both of these :)
Next I'm moving on to
, can't wait!!

Wow Jenny! That is a ton of reading. Those damn Korean dramas have really cut into my reading time this past year . Darn dramas!

I am still listening to Time's Edge
and kind of wish I did not let so much time elapse between books one and two because I am trying to remember a lot now. I also started my re-read of Fire Country
on audiobook this time, which David so graciously gifted to me. I just finished This Shattered World
and I liked it but not as much as book one.

Rysa has recaps of each of the books on her website :) Here's Timebound: http://www.rysa.com/recaps/timebound-...
So what's the opposite of a book hangover?I started
and absolutely adored it till 70%. It was full of action, intrigue and an interesting concept of a world. Then it all fell apart. The ending was still alright, but it didn't have the depth that the beginning of the book had. And it took FOREVER for the loose ends to be tied up.So bummed right now. :(
Ashley *Hufflepuff Kitten* wrote: "Aww that's sad Elora. Did it just get predictable or drag?"Dragged ....It was a really unpredictable read, but it just slowed WAY down. :(
Heidi (Yup. Still here.) wrote: "Ugh! I hate that Elora"Me too! I was looking forward to finishing it all day!
Started reading The Monstrumologist. Quite creepy so far. I'm guessing that won't change anytime soon.

Yeah...it stays creepy throughout :)

Haven't updated in a while! I finished my reread of
, LOVED it! Also finished
and really loved that one too! Finished
and it was an okay read for me.I've been reading
and I think I'm in a book slump. Its taking me awhile, not sure why. Maybe I'm burned out on fantasy (which isn't good, because I have lots of fantasy on my TBR!) I may switch to something else for a bit, don't know what.
ooooh Jenny I loved Silkworm! I didn't think Career of Evil was quite as good, but I still enjoyed it. Hope you like it, when you pick it up!
So....I started A Torch Against the Night the other day, not realizing it was a sequel.....oops. Now to get the first one from the library!
Elora wrote: "So....I started A Torch Against the Night the other day, not realizing it was a sequel.....oops. Now to get the first one from the library!"
That stinks Elora! I must read series in order -even if people tell me there is no need to!

Me too! I was reading it and something just didn't seem right, but I couldn't put my finger on what it was. Yesterday when I grabbed it, I checked the cover and sure enough, it said sequel. Oh well. :)
Finished reading
which was a pretty good sequel. I love the world building of this series, especially the dragons. So cool. Also finished reading
I thought it was the last book in the series, but I guess there's another book. I didn't think that was necessary at all. This was an okay read, a pretty quick one. Not a lot happened in it, though.Next I'm reading
JENNY: I thought that was the last book as well. I was a bit disappointed that she stretched it out to 4 books. You're right it's really unnecessary.
Just finished...
enjoyed the last half of the book. The story picked up eventually and now I can't wait to see what the 2nd book holds.
Also finished...
Now I'm unsure of what to read next.

I really like the Comoran Strike series and hope they make a movie/tv series out of it :) I think it has been mentioned about being made into something so I can't wait!
Tv series is in the works, with Tom Burke as Strike. It's a BBC One production and HBO has the US rights.http://deadline.com/2016/10/hbcormora...

I thought
was phenomenal. Very timely as well!
I read this
The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13 3/4 because I saw it on the table at the library under "Staff Picks." :) I enjoyed the quirky humor and touching observations. Reread and old YA favorite, To Tell Your Love
and am starting X.
I really enjoyed reading everyone's recent reads and notice there are some really good ones for this time of year. :) Happy Hallowe'en!
I can't remember, it's been so long, if I already said I finished
, which was really good for fans of Girl on the Train; also
, by the same author. Lots of twists and turns! Yay!
Almost done with The Monstrumologist. I appreciate that the author gives the reader a heads up on who is going to die. Still very creepy. Though I'm not sure which is creepier, the monsters or Kearns.
Just finished
and loving this series. Still working on Monstrumologist; maybe I'm just not in the mood for a wordy book right now, or it's not what I expected it to be, I'm not sure. I do like it but I really have to focus when I read it.
