I read this between 2012-2014. I think the author is a girl and it's a paper book. I can't remember how the two teens got together but the boy is in a foster home with his little brother and he fells disconnected to them since he's older. His brother calls them mom and dad but he doesn't. (He likes them though) he helps his foster dad at his wood working shop all the time. The boy and girl meet up at the park and go into the woods to hang out all the time. In the end the foster family give the boy money they saved up for college for him.
