And Tab, I used this book in the early 2000s. This would make it middle school or junior high. The activities in it were typical grammar activities like editing given sentences. Every chapter there would be a story that involved the aforementioned characters (I remember because those were the only parts I liked!)
I hope these details helped!
Do you remember the image on the cover?

Can we eliminate The Clever Cat: The French version of Le Chat Génial by Antoine Khoury which was published in Canada? (found on Worldcat.org)

I am remembering a workbook that I used back when I was homeschooled. I don't know if this is a book mostly used in homeschooling communities, but I have scoured everywhere and neither my mom nor I remember the title.
The book (or series of books) in question were grammar books for certain grades, possibly 4th to 6th. There were three characters involved in the readings - a cat, a professor (possibly in a lab coat) and a beatnik girl wearing a black beret and black glasses. I believe the cover of one of the books was blue.
I'm not even sure this would be on Goodreads considering it was a school book, but I'm very curious of its name.
Thank you,
Amanda
