Madeline Dyer (madelinedyer) | 20 comments UntamedHi,

I've just noticed on my book's page that there are two listings for the paperback as separate editions. There's only one paperback edition, and for that edition the ISBN-13 is 9781610409186 and the ISBN-10 is 1610409183.

It seems to be that on Goodreads, one edition is listed with the ISBN-13 and one with the ISBN-10. They're both for the exact same book (Untamed (Untamed, #1)), and I saw that on the 'edit details' page, there is room to put both the ISBNs in for the same book--but it won't let me. So would you be able to combine these editions please?

On a side note, would these two paperback editions explain why it is showing up on the same listopia list twice, in two different places? E.g for the list of 'Young Adult Sci-Fi' Untamed shows up at #9 and #12. https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/4...

Also, I don't know whether this would effect it or not--but recently on Amazon, my publisher had to unlink it from the series as Amazon's internal system kept incorrectly linking it with another lady's erotica series (which has a different name, and is a completely different genre) and Amazon are still working on fixing it and adding my series name back without the error returning. They still don't know why it's happening! So, on Amazon it currently shows up as 'Untamed' rather than 'Untamed (Untamed, #1)' but this is incorrect--and should only be temporary. Just thought I'd mention it in case that's an issue?

So, there should only be three editions of this book (paperback, ebook, and kindle edition) rather than four.

Thanks,
Madeline

It's on here twice because two different people added it, and they both used one of the ISBN numbers and didn't check for the other. It happens, and it's easily fixed. Any user can add a book, and many don't fill in all the fields. When the automatic imports run, if the information doesn't match, another copy might be created. The best way to avoid it, is to add the books yourself, as soon as you have the ISBN/ASIN info, but as said, it's easily fixed.

Re listopia: Listopias are edition specific. If people add different editions, they both show up, unless a librarian combines them. There are about a billion listopia lists, and unless someone points one out, it's a fluke if a librarian spots it, but some Listopias are intended to be that way. If it happens again, just ask in this group for a librarian to run the duplicate check on the list.

GR does not get series info from Amazon automatically, all series information here is manually managed by the librarians.

Madeline Dyer (madelinedyer) | 20 comments I've just noticed that on my author dashboard, the number of 'to-reads' as disappeared for this book. There were 818 (I think) but now none are showing up? Yet when I go to the book's page and scroll down to recent activity, I can see some there?

Will the 'to-reads' return to the author dashboard soon? Is it because of recent changes?

Thanks!

Krazykiwi | 1767 comments Book pages are cached and it can take a day or two for everything to show up again. Nothing to worry about.
