Hi Pam,I just finished my first pick, Some Like It Hawk
, which was the next one up in this series. I had just finished the previous one, which was the one you suggested, but according to the series rule, it is okay to go with the one at the point in the series where you are reading. That rule is also going to come into play with the Deborah Crombie series you also recommended; I had read one much later in that series and decided to go back and start from the beginning. I really like her writing, and will let you know when I finish that one. Thanks for such good picks!

★★★★This was such a unique book, and the sex scenes were oh my goodness hot! The story was really good too it wasn't just a bunch of hot scenes strung together. I really enjoyed this pick thank you!

. I really liked both the storyline and the dialogue. I don't know why I haven't read more James. Plus it worked for my pass the parcel book this week. Hope to get to more books but this first one is a big thumbs up!

-A Matter of Days by Amber Kizer was a really awesome book! I loved it! It was cool to read a book that was post apocalyptic sans zombies!! Much scarier in my opinion,
- Fueled (Driven #2) by K. Bromberg was so intense when it ended I was literally like WHAAAATTT!!! I will definitely be reading the next in the series. I love this series.
- Elixir (Elixir #1) by Hilary Duff was meh...I love Hilary Duff so I wanted to read it and I wanted to like it but it feels like a story I have read before but not done as well. I probably won't continue with the series...unless my ocd gets the better of me..
- Emmy & Oliver by Robin Benway Loved this book, had to stop reading to go to sleep and when I woke up all I wanted to do was read it to the end, found myself tearing up at times. Great read!
- Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter #1) by Nalini Singh This book has been recommended to me several times for a few PIFM Challenges but I never seemed to get to it. However, I was very pleasantly surprised, judging by the cover alone it looked like a book that I probably wouldn't enjoy but in actuality I really enjoyed it and will most likely be continuing the series.
- Feed (Newsflesh #1) by Mira Grant I was so surprised how this story unfolded, it was a book that was on my TBR shelf for a while and I am glad that I finally got to it. I will definitely be reading the next in the series.
- Rule (Marked Men #1) by Jay Crownover OMG!!! I LOVED THIS BOOK! I had this book on my TBR for a while and I am glad I finally got to it. I was worried because I really didn't like the names of the characters or the cover, it really didn't do the awesomeness inside justice. I spent the last few chapter balling my eyes out! Great story! I will be continuing this series as well.
Hi Pam,I just finished my second pick, and again am using the series rule to read the one in the series where I am. You suggested the most recent one, but I chose the one where I am. I had previously read some later ones in this series, and then decided to go back and read from the beginning, which is where this one is: A Share in Death
. I really like Kincaid and James as detectives and all of the personal undercurrents between them. Thank you for encouraging me to pick up this series again. I really enjoy Crombie's writing and this was a really good plot.

It's up there with Wallbanger or Screwdrivered for me! I hope you like it as much as I did when you get to it :)

That's too bad the Hilary Duff book wasn't as good as you'd hoped. I can totally relate :P I feel like I had to force myself to give up series I don't like because I feel compelled to keep reading with the next book in the series.
