It does indeed - thanks John, and thanks for taking part. Hope to see you in another round before long.
It's actually the only round 2 review outstanding. But it's not overdue yet - she has until May 17.This round has in fact gone very fast. There are only four reviews still be done; eight of you have finished, and a ninth person has only one review left to do.

Thanks C., duly noted.
Quick note on spellings -Francis is Canadian and might use either British or American spelling, depending on context - is that correct, Francis? I ask because jewellery and artefact are the British spellings, and would be wrong in the US but might be used in Canada. I lived for a while in Ottawa when I was very young but I can't remember which spelling we used for these.
Mike,I have noted your information. As a follow-up, I checked the online version of the Canadian Oxford Dictionary. In the primary search results for "artefact," I am asked whether or not I mean "artifact." However, in an accompanying sidebar, it does list the related definition as "artefact." The same was true for "jewellery." Therefore, I have removed those references from my review. The rest of the review remains the same.
From Francis: "And that is the problem with the non-fiction group: books get reviewed by people randomly selected, instead of those who have an interest in the subject (I had next to zero interest in the subject of depression - or Bulgarian myths - but I tried my best to be fair, thorough and objective, evaluating it from the perspective of the intended target audience)."Unfortunately, it's the same for any group, not just non-fiction.
I, too, try to read the books, not from my likes/dislikes, but from the perspective of a reader who would normally choose the book. I am glad you took that stance with my book, and I wish all reviewers would keep that in mind. We are here to write reviews for "readers," not ourselves, not the author, not other authors. Ah, but that can open a whole can of worms. But we do what we have to in order to get reviews, when regular readers don't leave them.
I endorse this; group members should try and think themselves into the profile of the reader at whom the book was aimed. This can be difficult sometimes. But it can also be quite rewarding, giving one new perspectives on other people's thinking.

That's great, C. Thank you.
Of the 40 reviews for this group, only three are outstanding - one of Kelvin's, and two from C. Bachan. None of them are overdue (the deadline for round 3 is the day after tomorrow, June 7; for round 4, not till June 28). However, when we do get these three, we can close the round.

Enjoy your summer.
I'm new to this thread but I will be more than happy to review the bipolar book for C. How does this work? Do I add my own book on the 28th? Do I report back here after my review is posted? Sorry i'm late to the party. Thanks.
Hi Tara - this review round is effectively over, I'm just waiting for one more review (actually from C.) and I can close it. What you would need to do is go to a group that is forming up, and join that. Drop by the main page for the Review Group at https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/... and see how this works, then if you are interested, sign up - we always need new members and it would be great to have you. Come back to me if anything isn't clear.
