Well, I suppose I'm a slacker as I have only read 8 (to be more accurate-7, as one was a cookbook). The Last Tsar: The Life and Death of Nicholas II was a bit of a stumble as the first half was, in my opinion, not well written.Unlike you, I haven't come across any books I really, really liked-- although I did like InnocenceDean Koontz's Innocence.
I want to work in some more classics this year. I am looking forward to reading The Woman in White with the group "Classics for Beginners".
I have The Woman in White in my TBR list. I have read The Moonstone by wilkie collins and it was fantastic. very well written mystery.
