All You Need Is Kill - Really enjoyed this one.
Sworn in Steel - Disappointing compared to the first book in the series but would still read the next one when it comes along.
The Forever War - can't believe it took me this long to get around to this book. Fantastic premise and message that I'm still thinking about and just the right length for the story it was telling.
I Am Legend - as above, another classic that I should really have read before now. Probably the best "one man surviving alone book I have read" (briefly held the top spot until I read....
The Martian- Fantastic! Went into this fully expecting to be bored and just fell in love with this book. Enough said.
Joyland - Stephen King produces another great nostalgia book with a supernatural twist.
Carrie - Not the best King book I've read but it was his first novel.
Skin Game - Yep, enough said :)

I've only ever read The Dirty Streets of Heaven by Tad Williams but there seems to be so much love for him out there that I'll have to try some of his other books.

But, comparing urban fantasy to high fantasy is a bit like apples to oranges.

Hawkeye, Vol. 1: My Life as a Weapon (Hawkeye - meh
Saga, Volume 1 - Awesome
Saga, Volume 2 - Seriously... SO Awesome!!
Coffin Hill Vol. 1: Forest of the Night - okay
Sex Criminals, Volume 1: One Weird Trick - Awesome & Crazy
Samurai Jack #1- meh
Pretty Deadly, Vol. 1 - meh
and a few books...
Old Man's War - Okay
Redshirts - Okay
Salt Sugar Fat: How the Food Giants Hooked Us - I learned something :)
The Star Thief - addictive & fun
Her Dark Curiosity - I <3 this series
Death Masks - best in the series so far!
The Shadow of the Wind - One of the most boring books I've ever read.

Agreed, and I don't want to judge him on a book that most people say is not one of his best (plus I gather it's his first stab at the UF genre). Think I'll add Memory, Sorrow and Thorn to my reading list.

Next I read Evangeline by E.A. Gottschalk. There was some clunk passages in it but I loved the story. Grisly as hell.
I just started The Slender Man by Dexter Morgenstern (probably spelled the kid's name wrong, to lazy to look it up). I doubt I'll finish it before the end of the day though.

I couldn't agree more :)

...then crashed and burned. Standstill.

There's great parts in this book, but it's looking more and more like it's going to Fionavar on me.
