Just picked up 2 books from the library this morning. It is great being able to reserve the books and receive notification when they are available. The Secret Vineyard by Loretta Hill, and

Scrublands by Chris Hammer should be available soon, and looking forward to this one.
I just started reading on my tablet my first audio e book borrowed from the Library through Borrow Box - great technology!
Violent Exposure by Katherine Howell
I received The Helpline by Katherine Collette also.I think it’s been great for us Aussie Readers that Goodreads cancelled the giveaway program. I hardly ever won a book on there.

Dirt Music - Tim Winton2nd edition hardcover, £1 from Oxfam. I see it has a Book Crossing sticker inside, it was meant to be left where someone can find it and pick it up for free. But it's Tim Winton. And I rescued it.

I received an uncorrected proof of Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak . The front cover says The Most Anticipated Book of the Decade.....I stated that Liane Moriarty ‘s book was the most anticipated book of the year but this claim sure beats that.

I decided to support Books for Cooks on Love Your Bookshop Day. I bought Ant Egg Soup: The Adventures of a Food Tourist in Laos, which has been on my TBR forever, and Postcards from Kitchens Abroad.Actually I remember asking them about Ant Egg Soup years ago, when they were still in Collingwood. They knew of it but hadn’t seen a copy in some time, so I was really excited to see it there today!

Isn't it great when something totally unexpected arrives on your door step. Postie leaves a brown paper package and like a two year old I rip the package to bit to find a signed copy of Scrublands by Chris Hammer.I stare at it with incredulity, then the penny drops. About a month ago I entered a competition for this very book and low and behold I now have it in my hot little hands.
I feel like a kid on Christmas morning.
