Recently Purchased/Acquired book/s - part 2
I bought myself a copy of
Dear Fahrenheit 451: Love and Heartbreak in the Stacks: A Librarian's Love Letters and Breakup Notes to the Books in Her Life by Annie Spence. Looking forward to finding time to read it!
In the mail today, my win from author Sandie Docker: a copy of The Kookaburra Creek Cafe, two KCC bookmarks, a KCC notebook, a KCC mug and an exquisite silver pendant. Lucky me!!
Congratulations Marianne! That would have been a lovely gift. I received a KCC bookmark from her when I met her here a couple of weeks ago - the mug, notebook and pendant would be extra special :)

The Temptation to be Happy thanks to Patty Mac's review
I've got my hands on a couple of books in the last few days:
The Rain Never Came by Lachlan Walter - is a dystopian YA on the very topical subject of water wars - but set in Australia. Have high hopes for it. Also arrived in the mail was
Rosemary's Retribution by Nandita Chakraborty - likened as a sort of Romeo and Juliet set in India and Australia. These are both new aussie authors for me.
Brenda wrote: "I haven't heard of either Sally - I'll be interested in your thoughts when you get to them :)"Both of them, separately, contacted me to read their books through my blog - so pretty chuffed about that :)
Now just hope they're as good as their blurbs :)
