Li'l Owl wrote: "In the post Hi Owl. I'll be interested in what you think of Alice Feeney's book. It didn't work for me. Might have been just my mindset at the time I read it.
Veronica ⭐️ wrote: "Little black lies sounds really good li’l Owl. I’ve added it to my tbr."That is an excellent book, my favourite of hers. I think you and Owl would love it.
I've got myself a bit of a stash today thanks to a friend:
Hello Stranger by Lisa Kleypas
Force of Nature by Jane Harper (Haven't read the first one yet - and she didn't have a copy of that one so will borrow it from library)
Tempests and Slaughter by Tamora Pierce - 1st in a series
The Lucky Ones by Tiffany Reisz - contemporary mystery - gothic - have been hearing good things about this one.
The Smallest Part by Amy Harmon - her latest releaseand finally, a couple of light and fluffies:
Every Dog Has His Day by Jenn McKinlay
Surprise Me by Sophie Kinsella
Veronica ⭐️ wrote: "Little black lies sounds really good li’l Owl. I’ve added it to my tbr."Little Black Lies is a good one Veronica.
I’ve added both Sharon Bolton books to my to read list after those recommendations.Today’s book purchase was P is for Pearl by Eliza Henry-Jones
And in the mail I received The Everlasting Sunday by Robert Lukins
I'm looking forward to reading the Sharon J. Bolton's books! My reading buddy, Crumb, and I read Daisy in Chains together in January and we were both completely stunned by the twisted ending! Absolutely brilliant!

It was only $18.99 in QBD plus I had a $10 voucher:) So it was actually a real bargain for a recently published book.
I went to the dentist today for a check up. Scraped off a bit of tartar (ouch), declared all well and then charged me $75. As I said to mum, I suppose that's better than $175 and a drill & fill, with added pain. I decided a reward was in order so I checked out the nearby Vinnies and got Time Travelling with a Hamster for $2
I finally gave in and ordered
Look For Me by Lisa Gardner from Booktopia as I haven't been able to get it from Big W, Target or KMart around here - and it arrived today :)

In the mail today - my pre-ordered copy of

Marianne wrote: "From Text in the mail today:Flames by Tassie author Robbie Arnott love this cover too
"Wow! That sounds fabulous! I've added it.
I bought a couple of books today. Firstly, to get ready for April, I forked out way more than my usual Amazon limit for The Tea Gardens by Fiona McIntosh. Don't worry, it didn't break the bank. Then I popped into The Book Grocer to pick up She Will Build Him a City, which Michael had brought to my attention after his recent Melbourne visit.
Brenda wrote: "Slot it in to an April challenge Carolyn 😊"Hmm...Good Idea Brenda - will have to look into that!
Phrynne wrote: "I haven't found a spot for it yet Carolyn but I am going to read it in April anyway!!!"
I thought I saw it in your FF challenge Phrynne?
