Odette (odman) | 1137 comments I have just got back from Canberra and the author talk by Fiona McIntosh this morning at the Canberra Library. It was a extremely interesting and inspirational talk about the research, travel and writing of the The Tea Gardens. This talk will make a difference to how I relate to this book when I read it. It should be very soon as I purchased a copy.

It was written in the 1930s and is supposed to be very funny. It's a very pretty little hardcover book (would make a nice gift for the right person).

Li'l Owl | 2504 comments I have gotten some dandies in the post over the last month!
The Child Finder by Rene Denfeld
Daisy in Chains: A Novel by Sharon J. Bolton
The Travelling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa
The Quality of Silence by Rosamund Lupton
The Weight of Silence by Heather Gudenkauf from the library
Wesley the Owl: The Remarkable Love Story of an Owl and His Girl by Stacey O'Brien
I liked it so much that I decided to buy a book rather than just an ebook. I'm very glad I did, too, because it has many more pictures then the ebook had! So cute!!
