I have just got back from Canberra and the author talk by Fiona McIntosh this morning at the Canberra Library. It was a extremely interesting and inspirational talk about the research, travel and writing of the The Tea Gardens. This talk will make a difference to how I relate to this book when I read it. It should be very soon as I purchased a copy.
She is on a tour, but looks as though you may have missed her in NSW. Here is the link to her schedule: https://www.penguin.com.au/authors/fi...
She's in Mount Gambier early Dec - we were there toward the end of October :( And Norwood the same!! Never mind - hopefully she'll do it again with her next book :)

That’s a great order Marianne. I hope you win their Christmas comp with that order.
Marianne wrote: "No, Veronica I used my Boomerang bucks and you can't use another code when using those."That’s a pity.
Expecting a totally different kind of parcel in the mail, I was surprised to receive a copy of The Sisters' Song by Louise Allan from the publisher. It's set in Tasmania and it's about two sisters - just my cup of tea!

I liked it so much that I decided to buy a book rather than just an ebook. I'm very glad I did, too, because it has many more pictures then the ebook had! So cute!!
