Just picked up the first books I've actually purchased in a long time! lol
Murder Games by James Patterson and
The People vs. Alex Cross: also by James Patterson

from Harper Collins The Ballad of Banjo Crossing which will be my next-up read
from Hachette Her
from Bonnier Publishing Clinch and Down for the Count
and from Salvos, for $5 Camino Island

Enjoy!

I'm loving BorrowBox and now have most of my November Cleanup books already download including The Choke and The Dry.

I just looked up Louise Penny and not a single book is listed which I thought was weird. I'm probably not ready for another big series anyway but still...

Well deserved, Brenda!
They (Bookouture) have a few on my wishlist, but I want real books..."
Awesome Brenda! They have great books and they are so nice :)

Thanks Brenda - I should have tried that. Seems Kobo has it for around $12 (although I thought I checked there) so if I get desperate......
Don't really need to be starting a new series at the moment so no rush as yet.

I looked at my library and they have all of her books in print and two of them as ebooks available on Borrowbox.

Leave Me by Gayle Forman
The Beast's Garden by Kate Forsyth
The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy ( winner of the 1997 booker prize)
And couldn’t pass up The Inaugural Meeting of the Fairvale Ladies Book Club for my MIL

I read Leave Me earlier this year, Veronica, and gave it 5 stars. And I read The Beast's Garden last year and gave it 4.5. Enjoy!

Fatal Mistake $3 (have the first two)
Moondyne Kate $3
The Case of the Love Commandos $2 (have the first three)
Dreams of Gods and Monsters $4 (have the first two)
Strange the Dreamer $4 wanted to own this
and I almost left A Court of Thorns and Roses at $2 because the last thing I need is another series, right? But then I saw A Court of Mist and Fury and A Court of Wings and Ruin at $3 each just nearby, all looking unread, and I was a goner!

Hahaha lol!

LOL! I do think there's a bit of that in us all. Fortunately I live alone so it's easy to be naughty!
Your system sounds very effective Maryanne! Well done! =o)

LOL! I love the sound of a TBR room.
In the post from Book Depository today - Northwest Angle
by William Kent Krueger. This is a really good series.

A blend of dystopian and fantasy - is said to be very different from anything she has written and dark!!!

As you would be 😊 Hachette is so hit and miss with me! They approved me two days ago for another, then rejected me on this one! Go figure!

Very Jealous Sally. I’ll definitely be buying the paperback of this one.

Me too Brenda, it sounds great so I was disappointed :(
My success rate with Hachette is not great - I've only ever had a couple from them.

It's weird - they send me a lot of "real" books, then dither about the ebooks from NG!!! You'd think it'd be cheaper to hand out the ebooks wouldn't you!

Maybe they'll send you the real book, Brenda?

I'm hoping I'll be able to work in the Lisa Bigelow into next year's Aussie Author Challenge...

Dracula - Bram Stoker
The Phantom of the Opera - Gaston Leroux
The Odyssey - Homer
Emma - Jane Austen
Moby Dick - Herman Melville
Sherlock Holmes volume 1 - Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
The last two were a lay-by pick up and I've put more on lay-by LOL

Are you collecting the classics Naomi? I’m collecting the Penguin clothbound classics. I’m always a sucker for a new collection.

Are you collecting the Knickerbrocker Classics? They're the ones I'm collecting :)

A blend..."
My email from Hachette said they weren't approving readers who only post on GR and Amazon at this time (ie they're looking for bloggers), although they approved The Secrets at Ocean's Edge just a week or so ago!
My guess is that it's different person doing NG approvals to the person who sends you your books Brenda, so hopefully you'll still get a copy.

Grrr - don't get me started
(But at least the book is meant to be quite good, Marianne, now that it's arrived.)

Yes, Andrea, I'm looking forward to it. But it's only one of many recent parcels that take forever to cover a distance I could have easily walked a few times in that period!
